erst mal super video dank an dir für deine arbeit die luft die raus gesaugt wird wird die durch ein fenster rausgelasen ? und die luft die rein gelassen wird wird durch ein filter reingeblasen oder habe ich das falsch verstanden
@diy-mushroom-tek Жыл бұрын

Hey i just sniped a nice cabinet style fridge for 5euro to make my fruiting chamber, im getting closer to finish my build im very excited! Hopefully i will not make too much mistakes when pinning and fruiting, i made PF tek cakes, grain to various substrate, agar work, cardboard.. All colonizing kind of slow because its 17° in my house. A few days ago i made an incubator with a small old freezer, i just put a 5L bottle with warm tap water in the morning in it, it raises to 25°C and drop to 20° the next morning, its awesome and things move a lot quicker now. Btw i found a reishi in the wild 2 weeks ago and attempted to clone on agar a part from the under cap i sampled from it on site, since there was only one specimen. I think i got mycelium but it barely grew like very few short fine strands, not fuzzy and very scarce and localized on the "woody sample" i made a transfer today lets see how it goes. Cheers

Hey Linus, thanks for the update! I am sure you will manage the PF Tek! As I have a warm space next to my heating system, I did not pursue an incubator any further. I did design an incubator in the beginning. I always wanted do make a video about it, but did not find the time yet. You found a very nice solution with the hot water bottle. I combined some cheap electrical components in an insolated box. Then one can set up the desired temperature and it will stay that way. If I find some time, I will make a video about it. It is quiet easy to build, if you are interested just combine these things: ◼️ 12V 50W Multifunction Air Heater Insulation PTC Heaters Thermostatic Heating Element Multipurpose Heater Incubator Patio Heaters - ca 6€ www.aliexpress.com/item/1005003402347469.html?spm=a2g0o.productlist.main.23.510a4bf48wqpfP&algo_pvid=c32e6f56-db54-4f7c-880e-331ff64d8b70&algo_exp_id=c32e6f56-db54-4f7c-880e-331ff64d8b70-11&pdp_ext_f=%7B%22sku_id%22%3A%2212000025624999509%22%7D&pdp_npi=2%40dis%21EUR%216.67%215.07%21%21%21%21%21%402100ba4716698247552481218d0727%2112000025624999509%21sea&curPageLogUid=NUU9nynrIqyw ◼️ W1209 -50-100C DC 12V RED Digital temperature controllear thermostat temperature control thermostat switch plate W1209 case - ca 3€ www.aliexpress.com/item/10000002309483.html?spm=a2g0o.productlist.main.13.2a183b93UxcoBK&algo_pvid=a8273e4a-da40-4fac-b5f3-e19200072051&algo_exp_id=a8273e4a-da40-4fac-b5f3-e19200072051-6&pdp_ext_f=%7B%22sku_id%22%3A%2220000000006332489%22%7D&pdp_npi=2%40dis%21EUR%212.77%211.77%21%21%21%21%21%402100b1a616698248693445588d0753%2120000000006332489%21sea&curPageLogUid=Me7s2ps7F7FY ◼️ 12V 5A 5 amp 60W DC EU/US UK AU POWER Supply ADAPTER Transformer LED Strip Light - ca 8€ www.aliexpress.com/item/32988174960.html?spm=a2g0o.productlist.main.5.d61726d5mePI4T&algo_pvid=48d0d369-17da-4b38-a381-70ec232789d8&algo_exp_id=48d0d369-17da-4b38-a381-70ec232789d8-2&pdp_ext_f=%7B%22sku_id%22%3A%2266833678459%22%7D&pdp_npi=2%40dis%21EUR%218.0%217.43%21%21%21%21%21%402145288516698249428688962d0748%2166833678459%21sea&curPageLogUid=N2GnaymYuzGQ ◼️ Insulated thermo box transport Happy Mushrooming!

Amazingly grown reishi! Do you ever get algae growing in the humidifier because it’s transparent? I have mine outside of the tent pushing air and fog in to save space, but i imagine the algae could still be a problem
@diy-mushroom-tek Жыл бұрын
Hey drm! It's great to know you're also a fan of reishi! Here's my take on your question: 1) I've been using filtered rainwater, and it has several advantages. It doesn't lead to the calcification of my humidifier, and it remains clear for an extended period. You can easily see this clarity by looking into a rainwater reservoir. However, you're correct about the issue of algae growth when there's UV light exposure to the water. Fortunately, with only a bit of artificial light, I've never had problems with algae. 2) My humidifier design has proven to be quite robust over the years. The electronics don't seem to mind the high humidity environment, and the 3D-printed PLA parts remain functional even when they're constantly exposed to water. 3) Maintaining the humidifier is relatively straightforward. Periodic anti-calcification measures and changing the cotton sponges are the main tasks. The sponges tend to be the primary issue when it comes to maintenance. Cleaning the plastic components and the reservoir is a quick process with a brush. Anti-calcification isn't a hassle, and replacing the cotton sponges is an easy and affordable task. Neglecting this can lead to algae growth. 4) I'm currently working on designing a similar setup for tropical plants, complete with a strong LED grow light covering all UV ranges. In this new environment, I've noticed the cotton parts turn green quickly due to algae. This has led me to develop a humidifier with an external water reservoir that only performs atomization inside the tent, which has increased the need for maintenance. 5) I prefer the internal version of the humidifier because it allows me to create the desired humidity where it's needed. The slightly reduced growing space is not a significant concern for me. Regular checks inside the tent make refilling easy. It's important to ensure the reservoir is fully covered to prevent spores and other contaminants from entering the water, which drastically extends the time between maintenance. I hope you find these insights useful. Happy mushroom growing!

Hi, why didn't you put the air filter right behaind the fan? (Great work btw)
@diy-mushroom-tek Жыл бұрын
Hey Alfredo! This is the right question to ask. I had to learn it the hard way when I started designing my Martha system. The fans are IP68, which means waterproof, and they also have low power consumption. These are the very big plus points of that specific fan. Since there is a law that states that power equals pressure multiplied with the volume flow [P = p x Q], the downside of this fan is that the pressure it can create with its low power consumption is not that big. This applies to both over and underpressure, of course. That is why I used an 80 mm fan in combination with a 100 mm hose. There are many turbulent air flows at the entry area of the fan if you throttle it directly. The fan needs to have access to at least its diameter of air. Otherwise, there is a lot of air movement, but that movement does not translate directly into air push or pull. In order to achieve a steady and laminar flow, I gave the air a bigger diameter and some room to settle down before I installed the filter. This way, I achieved good results within my Martha. The stated law above is also the reason why one needs strong fans if one builds a laminar flow hood. The small fans do not have the power to push the air through the HEPA filter. In my Martha ventilation design, one can also just use a small insect net as a filter in combination with the normal filter mount. This way, I also had no spores or wet air coming out of the Martha tent. Happy Mushrooming!

Dear @krzywik13, I apologize for any disappointment you've experienced with my text-to-speech program. During testing, it was noted by many non-native English speakers that the program is relatively easy to understand and often preferable to a self-spoken version with an accent. There are potential solutions to address this issue. I've structured my videos to allow viewers to download PDFs, providing access to all the information in a traditional analog format. Additionally, subtitles are available in multiple languages and align perfectly with the spoken text thanks to the text-to-speech technology. To ensure accessibility for everyone interested in learning and replicating my techniques, whether related to mushrooming or other creative endeavors, I've chosen free text-to-speech software called Balabolka, which relies on the Microsoft TTS engine. With the increasing accessibility of new AI approaches, I hope to find even better software to enhance my videos in the near future. As my primary focus is on education, I trust you can still find valuable insights within my content to support your personal growth journey. Wishing you success in your pursuits, whether in mushrooming or elsewhere, and warm regards, Daniel
