Noted... but you know, the tricky ones are there to really push you out of comfort zone and help you grow. That said, I'll definitely mix in some easier ones too

Got it your way. The key, of course, is focusing on the angles which leads you to recognize similar triangles. The rest is just algebra. But, if you focus on something else at the start like Pythagorean relations it’s alphabet soup. It all seems easy in retrospect, but only with the right start.

Exactly! The right starting point makes all the difference.

How do we know that the 'rectangle' that just touches all vertices of an enclosed 3-4-5 right triangle is a square?
@brain_station_videos2 күн бұрын
It is given that it is a square

@Brain Station, a very intresting problem to solve made my day. But the thing is I actually got a diffrent answer and I have cross checked my method like 5-6 time to ensure that I have not made any mistake, but it's just logical. You are getting and ratio i.e 51:77 that is approximately 0.667, where as my ratio came out to be 0.5.Not wanted to disturb but can you solve this problem only through algebra not including geometry and concepts of similarl triangles, purley through algebra. Sorry to disturb but it's a heart felt request😊❤

Is it possible to solve with SOH CAH TOA? I thought of using that but I don’t know how lol
@brain_station_videos2 күн бұрын
yes we can...we already have shown which angles will be θ, and we also have side lengths x, y and x-y...so use cos(θ) for both triangles
