Makita's 40v 3/4 gun is SO much better than that one
@rupertm25424 ай бұрын
I think the fact Milwaukee are churning out so many tool speaks volume on how much R&D they’re not doing. While I agree they’re powerful, I’ve seen a lot of people say they’re throw away items. Whereas Makita can be repaired by even a layman. I made the mistake of buying a Milwaukee chop saw a few years back, it was 2 degrees off true, which is a lot when you’re doing second fix timber work.

almost 5 years ago is when i purchased my 3 Makita impact wrenches, 3/8",1/2" and 3/4" the DTW 1001 thats how old it is and your other 2 ar recent within the last 24 months or less, I work in the heavy steel industry here in Canada and my co- workers have Dewalt, Milwaukee and Ridgid ,I have never had a warranty claim or needed service on any of my Makita impact wrenches or batteries or the chargers since i have owned them, the rest have had to do so, the Dewalt and Milwaukee guys have had to do the most , Milwaukee is bad for getting parts although the service is quick the parts are not, Dewalt is stupidly expensive to service, far more than any of the 4 purchased, my 1/2" impact wrench is almost as strong as the 3/4" one , One your right about ,Makita takes more years than any other cordless tool company to bring a new /revised tool to market, they don't need to, the existing works reliably and really doesn't breakdown like the other companies do and i have used Makita drills since the 80's when they had the 9.6 volt drills that were indestructible , too bad they quit making them, they were beasts 👍

Yes, it's anti-vibration for the battery/board, to protect it from the impacting vibrations when used. Vibrations kills batteries/electronics.

The biggest issue with Milwaukee (apart from build quality) is you can't get spares/parts, where's with other makes you can every little bit. 20 years ago they were very good when they were owned by atlas copco/aeg.
@NBK35246 ай бұрын
Only issues with Milwaukee is they're throw away tools the cost to fix them is more or near the cost of a new tool where as the Makita Bosch ECT are fixable at a low cost
@michaellarkin80496 ай бұрын
Low cost fix because theyre shit. Why have a 3/4 drive gun if igg cant undo large nuts?
@djrtime13986 ай бұрын
My 1/2” Milwaukee impact started acting up and was out of warranty. The cost to fix no matter what was wrong was $199 US. A brand new tool with warranty is $249 US. Of course the extra $50 is an easy choice, but I can’t stand the thought of the old tool/boat anchor laying around that in reality would prolly run fine with minor repair. I hate Milwaukee for that.

@@michaellarkin8049 why wouldn't use you use a breaker bar at first anyways 🤔
@michaellarkin80496 ай бұрын
@@djrtime1398 they got a warranty of five years. How long do you expect it to last? As the video showed above you can get a diffenr tool that uuou can 'fix' but theres no point even owning the tool if you can use it for the job intended. Maybe wehave different expectations but if i can thrash something and work every day i dont expect something socheap to last more than 5 years.

The Makita impact wrench you tested is like 10 years old lol, they have a newer more powerful 3/4" on their new 40v line. And it's best in class from the numbers and other testing channels apparently. Does price come into this comparison? Because I own Milwaukee but I ain't paying £200 for a 6ah battery, even it is black and says "Forge" on it.. a normal Makita or that other brand are using batteries you can get for £50-60... And from someone who owns multiple Milwaukee impacts, the battery connection from the battery to tool are always sloppy and have a lot of play. They end up after 2-3 years good use losing connection or cutting out because of the sloppiness. A lorry mechanic friend of mine uses makita and they may not be as powerful but boy are they more reliable. 👍🏻

You're not getting the full power on the kress as you need a 8ah battery on it . I've taken on much bigger and torqued up bolts with it , so next time try same batteries on the tools for a fair test as jou can buy a kress with 2x 8ah batteries for the same price as a bare tool Milwaukee

@bleyz35575 ай бұрын
Pretty much all of those sucks in terms of performance. MIlwaukee is still waiting for new 3/4 based on their newest 1/2 inch monster, Kress is like who cares, noname in other words, and Makita only cares about their xgt line. Inviting dewalt is pointless as they also wait for new 3/4 gun based on their overkill dcf961. If you want to get powerful gun it is better of waiting for new releases from milwaukee or dewalt or getting new milwaukee 1/2 inch wrench, dewalt dcf 961 on the other hand is killing itself type of a gun as 1/2 anvil inch is barely holding it together with that amount of torque.
