At first I was annoyed by the sped up reel. As I continued to watch, I began to appreciate the genius behind the faster speed. Great job. I noticed the plant that was a nice touch. LOL! great work, I am going to like and subscribe. Keep it up. The coffe breaks were hilarious.

Removing the axle nut to separate axle from hub is only necessary if doing the bottom control arm.
@MegaMilesBen
@MegaMilesBen Жыл бұрын
Actually, removing the axle nut and freeing the axle is a safety measure as to not pull the axle apart at the inner boot when lowering the arm or moving the knuckle around. And I was very glad I did when I mistakenly moved my jack. I wouldve destroyed that axle had it still been attached.
@StitchDGlitch

@@MegaMilesBen lucky for you for doing that. A Jack or Jack stand is always recommended.
@MegaMilesBen
@MegaMilesBen Жыл бұрын
@timothycottle5943 yea, normally I leave it there and lower it to where I need it. Even with a jack, you still run a risk of pulling the axle apart if the knuckle goes too far forward.

Great job. I did a 3.5 lift on my 2007 Chevy Tahoe and had an issue on the front saw bar link. When I let the jack down the saw bar link that part that attach to the lower control arm busted. Do they have a longer one. why saw bar have so much tension on it. I notes you did them tougher. It was fun Thanks,

Wheel spacers, bigger tires and heavier wheels can change the entire aspect of the suspension. You might look at stiffer or adjustable shocks for the rear.

Always get an alignment after any suspension work. Even though it may not feel like it, the alignment still could be off slightly and your tires will show it later. No camber issues. It was taken over to my shop neighbor for an alignment right after.

So with the upper control arms and sway bar links, are they “custom” to fit the spacers to not cause the suspension to wear out quickly? Or is it just incase it’s already wore out pretty badly ? I want to do a 2’ or 3’ in front of my 07 Escalade and slap some 22’x12’s forged rims but I don’t want to have to deal with suspension problems every 6 months or so. Is there any way around that problem?
@MegaMilesBen
@MegaMilesBen 2 жыл бұрын
Any chevy lifted over 2 1/2", I highly recommend getting either Forged Upper Control Arms (specific for the height you do) or Upper Control Arms With Adjustable Ball Joints. Otherwise, youll more than likely be fighting alignment issues. Theres many different lifts out there. If your looking for strength, I wouldnt recommend a spacer lift, really. Theres other ones that come with new knuckles, arms and such. Youd have to research more on your wants and needs for the vehicle.
