Have you guys thought of maybe taking the engine from a used Honda or Toyota and placing it in the PT Cruiser? As much as I love the retro design of the PT Cruiser, I would love to add an engine and transmission from a Japanese Import.

Not an engine maven. I've probably had my hands on the guts of about a dozen. And helped friends with another dozen or so. But I can say I've never seen a piston skirt fracture at the bottom. Huh. Berry Eeeentaresting.

I have a 2013 SHO and I have a super rough idle but it runs fine besides the idle. I’m getting code P0016-p0018-p0021 and P052A and C. Any input would be greatly appreciated!

If you're just replacing the turbos do you have to drop the front wheel assembly and the suspension to do this?

I am about to do a water pump replacement and plan to replace timing chain and tensioners while I am in there. I know replacing turbo screens is something recommended but of course easier said than done. Question I have is the process of dropping the entire subframe with the motor. How hard was that? Did you video that process by any chance or you know of a video out there of that. Figure it would certainly make things easier for access on those jobs but don't want to make a hard job even harder.

I've done a few timing chain sets in the car for this one and I prefer it that way. The other guys drop the subframe.

@@Juandongduck I actually finished the job a couple months ago it was time consuming but really all not that bad Leaving the motor and subframe all in place.. My plan to post a video when I finally get some time which has just the highlights of the unexpected stuff and none of the trivial stuff.
