It seems to me when the snow folds over the top of the augers, you’re moving forward too fast and exceeding the capacity of the blower. Slowing down a bit would allow the blower to clear a clean path with little need for a second pass. On the other hand, I got the feeling he was using the blower like a plow. Pushing forward then stopping and backing up. I could be wrong here because I don’t really know the total surroundings. He’s got an excellent machine and within a short time he’ll get the hang of it. Still did a decent job, good video.

I cant wait 'till we get our first snow fall. 2 weeks prior I had purchased a 332 and gotten a 49 inch single stage blower for it along with an OEM JD cab. I had JD come to my place to pick the 332 up for general service before I put it to use, unfortunately, it fell from the bed of their float onto the highway while in transit. While I was disappointed, the end result has turned out okay albeit significantly more expensive.

Looking at your set up it looks a lot like mine. To the right it looks like a berm, or possible septic bed? Anyways, my issue was when the builders built my house last year and installed the septic it created a burm, right in front of the house. The septic bed acted as a snow fence (kind of) so the snow drifts ended up right in the drive-way last year. Do you have the auto connect feature for your mower deck on your tractor? I purchased mine in 2012 and at the time if you had the auto connect feature on your tractor you couldn't run the front mount blower unless you removed the auto connect. I specifically bought the tractor for the drive over deck feature. Has this changed? I opted for the 3 point blower , I bought a 5' renegade blower and I can still use my loader as well. These things really consume the fuel when the blower is moving a full hopper of snow!

Yes, I have the drive over auto connect for the mower... JD offered two ways to lift the mower 1 was to add a cylinder and use the loader valve... 2nd, the one I chose, was to raise the mower deck with the 3 point system.... Considering the limited view one has behind a computer monitor, you have no idea as to where that snow needs to be re-located to. Going with the wind or putting it some place that seems to be obvious to us youtube viewers may not be possible. I personally wouldn't want a neighbor shoving a few tons of snow up my a$$ if I blew it onto their driveway or house. Having been behind the wheel of a plow truck for over 48hrs at one time in a 30" storm and 8 to 10 in a normal storm and running blowers large enough to eat this small unit, I am sure he has his reasons for running this blower and doing what he did. Arm chair quarterbacks have never won any game. He obviously has a brain, as he used it to make enough money and buy the not so cheap John Deere in the video so I am sure he is a quick learner and has done this operation before. Besides, I doubt he cares what you think and will move on with life.

I guess Im not understanding the concept of what you are doing. I would have picked a side, made a path and thrown the snow out/away from and out of the path instead of in front of the blower. I have to admit that snow was deep and the blower was doing a good job. I wonder how it does in really bulky, wet snow, though.

Great video! Does your 54 Blower have the plastic or metal impeller? Looks like it does a great job. I've got the 47 Blower.

Plastic, thanks for watching

@@pboxr-il9zj The plastic impeller gets a bad rap, but looks like it's doing a very fine job. I'd try one if I needed a replacement. Keep up the good videos.

@@TractorHoarders my opinion is, if you get a "un blowable" in the impeller, it would be easier to replace the impeller rather than the impeller housing.

Question instead of the negative comments. Is that a 2 stage snow blower do you know? I realize that's a crap ton of snow and all just wondering.
@jasonchapoton34905 жыл бұрын
I looked up the 54in jd snow blower for that 1025r and they list it as 2 stage 🤔. I guess it's just a ton of snow and it is what it is. I just have an older single stage jd blower and this seemed similar in pushing the snow is why I was asking

@@jasonchapoton3490 also, the gear box for the auger of the blower holds up the snow is One of the reasons it looks to be pushing snow.. . That and me pouring the coals to her😀.. . Thanks for watching
