Here's the next episode of Three-For-All with 3 Adrian Vandenberg & Vivian Campbell Licks From 1988.
Adrian and Vivian joined forces with Whitesnake in the late 1980s after John Sykes departed from the group, and while many folks were confused about their specific role surrounding the recording of the famous self-titled Whitesnake album from 1987, and to make matters more confusing - they both appeared in music videos and toured the world for nearly two years in support of that popular album/tour.
Adrian did play as a guest on the guitar solo for 'Here I Go Again,' but that was really the only part of that album to feature the playing of either of these legendary guitar heroes.
For those that are unaware, Vandenberg made a name for himself as a talented solo artist with his group Vandenberg in the early 1980s, while Vivian paved his way by working with Dio in the early stages of his career, and after working with Whitesnake he's been a member of the mighty Def Leppard for a few decades, in addition to releasing and appearing on a variety of albums and material.
This lesson focuses on a series of licks and ideas that came from a Whitesnake bootleg from Buffalo, NY in 1988. During the concert bootleg, you'll catch an extended live guitar solo that Adrian and Vivian performed on that historic tour, where each guitarist played their own solo spot before they finally joined together at the end with a cool harmonized guitar moment.
