Aaahhh I want to start this as a hobby so bad this makes me just want to buy all of the things! Due to my career (massage therapist) this hobby is too risky for me right now. Maybe someday when I retire. But I've watched just about all of your videos in the past 3 days. I have hope.

Do you sell your patterns? I looked on your website and didn't see any. I would love your Seed of Life, Pinwheel, and your 3D pyramid. Love, love, love your channel and thank you so much for helping us.

Is there a way to make your own bits or adapt Dremel/rotary bits to fit a glass grinder?
@jillinnoliver28183 жыл бұрын
I so have enjoyed your videos. I’ve been watching for a year now and finally purchased my “stuff”. I am wondering if you use that funky scissors to cut out your patterns. Or do you have any advice about patterns, what you look for and how to cut them out ? Thanks !
@StainedGlassDIY3 жыл бұрын
Glad you got started! I use those pattern scissors when I need the project to be perfectly sized within the pattern but most times you'll still have to check the glass size to see how it fits your pattern along with all the other pieces. I tend to go slightly bigger and grind down to fit. If you don't mind your project growing then I wouldn't worry too much about sticking to the pattern. Hope that helps!!

With the second bit, what type of glass is that meant for? Is it just an option or for something specific?
@StainedGlassDIY3 жыл бұрын
Oh, sorry I should have been more specific! It's the same diamond grinding bit but just a smaller tip so you can grind tighter angles vs the larger bit which would round out more of the glass. Also you can drill a hole with it.

Also I would like to make that Seed of Life and do you sell that pattern cause I can't fine a pattern like yours?
@tinagarcia68763 жыл бұрын
Thank you!! I bought this Grinder a few weeks ago and have not used it yet cause I'm collecting all my supplies and I was wondering about the accessories now I know I need them all. But a question the bit that is for grinding holes is that the same one you had ordered?
@StainedGlassDIY3 жыл бұрын
You got the Wiz! That smaller bit is the same so you would just need the second story to fully utilize it.

Just tried the code for the light but it didn't work. Any other code?

I spoke to Inland and they've updated the code and item so it should work now! Thanks for the headsup!

Can I grind glass with a diamond piece and a container of water?
@StainedGlassDIY3 жыл бұрын
Do you mean by hand or a dremel type tool? I think you can try a dremel but it just won't be as effective and slightly dangerous if not used properly.
@BellefromOz3 жыл бұрын
@@StainedGlassDIY i was thinking dremel, yeah. The set-up is kinda expensive 😅
@rcheeks89633 жыл бұрын
@@BellefromOz you can use a carborundum stone, it's not as effective at taking larger areas away if you haven't cut the piece perfectly but it is fine for getting rid of sharp edges.

I’ve been wanting to do a stained glass mirror or have additions around a mirror. That would be awesome to see
@anniedugan93973 жыл бұрын
I’ve done probably10-12 mirrors and it took me 6 failures before I fully understood how to prevent the flux from bleeding back onto the silver and causing very unsightly black stains on the front. Happy to go over my solutions with you.
