Nice comeback.I lost with KK in the biggest pot I've played. It was a 1-2-50 game, because a guy was always straddling and (re)raising pre-flop to $50 or more. We were only 6 handed but there was like almost $4K on the table. I went all in for $500 pre-flop since the guy to my left went all for like $150+ and there were 2 callers. Two them have AJ and they spiked the A on a 2 outer. I have buy in for $300, went down to $50 and up to $500. I should have gone home with a $200 profit. So all 4 of you poker vloggers are really good since you're all in the top 4 of that RAD poker app?

@@taz503 Harry has been killing it! I have losing sessions, I feel most of them are due to running bad and not playing long hours to grind it back. I normally never play more than 5 hrs, I see players playing 10-12 hrs, sometimes longer to grind back for a win. It’s one long game in my view, a loss doesn’t effect me. Playing long sessions on the other hand wears me out. This last session I am sure I could have played a few more hours and got even. But I would rather spend time with the family and just win it back the next session.

Well, I was in 1900 in an hour or so, but my low was down 1500. It doesn’t take much effort to get buried in an active game. People gamble and variance takes over. Turn is a 10 and I check to him he bets $100 I tank hard and call. River is a K and he puts me all in with $50 left. Do you know I actually kept the $50 and laid it down lol. @@FORMDOG top 2 against bottom set is very hard not to get hurt. If he is a super nit and would only raise with top 2 or sets. I definitely wouldn’t 3 bet him on the flop. I would call and try to hit an A or 6. May fold to a turn bet depending on sizing from a super nit. Regular player will call down. But if I did 3 bet the flop, I would lead the turn and just get it in with your stack size. Once you 3 beat the flop and he calls, you should lead the turn.

@@dougmccuskerpoker Define the term: Super nit. Thanks for your input.
@dougmccuskerpoker3 жыл бұрын
@@FORMDOG a nit is someone who only plays very strong hands. A super nit plays only extremely strong hands. When they are betting or raising, it’s never a draw, always value. A36 flop, they would never bet 45, and would probably never raise with anything less than 2 pair. If you 3 bet them and they call, 33, 66, AA, and A6 would probably be the hands they hold. I would even say they wouldn’t open with A6, probably sets only on that flop.

🤔 can't be +EV calling off the rest of your stack just because it's short. The goal is to play good poker. If you know you're beat, stick to your gameplay and fold. You'll feel a lot better after. Better than snowballing the potential tilt and blowing your stack again. Also know when to implement your strategies from what you learn in them gto books. Just because it's the "best" play in theory, doesn't mean it's the best play at your table. Sometimes it's like trying to play Beethoven to a cow.
@dougmccuskerpoker3 жыл бұрын
Beethoven to a cow, I like that line. My read was that he was bluffing, I had a good bluff catcher, so I called. His bluff happened to be better than my bluff catcher. I thought the call was appropriate for the read.
