I was born with an extremely painful, at times debilitating Blood Disorder called Sickle Cell Disease that often leads to Hospitalizations. @@jodyjojo1381I had surgery a few months ago for a massive tumor removal. The doctor ended up cutting me 3 separate times because he underestimated the size because he failed to look at the MRI. Anyway, I was so under-medicated that my blood pressure spiked to 209/130, I was in tears, even thought about going AMA. They wouldn’t medicate me with properly until they realized that my blood pressure wasn’t coming down even with blood pressure meds. Once they managed my pain, my blood pressure stabilized. Then 2 days later when I begged to be discharged because of the under-medicating, the doctor on call discharged me with no pain meds. I had to go another 2 days without pain meds, that’s when my attending physician’s office called to check on me and prescribe me pain meds. I was taking so much extra strength Tylenol that I probably gave my self mild liver and kidney damage. I wouldn’t wish that on anyone.
