For all nay sayers! The role of opposition is to point out the short comings and offer solutions when asked, not to point out and solve the problems. The Government has that job and are to ensure that they earn the hefty salary they gave themselves. Well done Julian!

As the first comment stated. The opposition did nothing here other than ask questions. It was a joke. We can't puck out the pockets and eyes of the citizens of Jamaica if there are cheaper waking to make our quality of life better. Like listen! He is saying that the removal of the get for cheaper imported foods is wrong even though it would get us blacklisted just to make the local farmers charge us more lol. What! We should be implementing practices that fits our market and system! How are these people allowed to represent us? How are we reporting blindly on these things?

Are we forgetting the Marksman vs NHT lawsuit. Where Marksman owes the NHT over 1 billion dollars. Many employers are not paying over the taxes of their employees. How can the government stop this ? How can the people become more active and vigilant with their taxes ? The 20 k is a strategy and one I hope will mobilise the Jamaican people to go and check out their tax business.

There is a GCT on foreign foods but also a cess fee. But we need to push OUR farmers to modernize. Quit using hoe and start using rotorvator so you can do more in less time. I mean, I am sure Adam and his company can import and fund the financing of containers of rotorvators and mini tractors from china and India to help our farmers supply Sandals and Beaches, not to mention other companies as well. Instead of just fancy cars for government officials to buy and drive.
