Instead of doing a double lift, try pushing off the top two cards as one. The same effect and I find easier!

Robert, that's what you have to do, make it work for you. There are more than a few ways to do a double lift. If you are at all interested in card magic, double lift is card magic 101.

Ive learned a handful of these and met and impressed a lot of people learning tricks from your channel and its actually a bit bitter (2022 now, I learned a bunch from this channel at 2017) to see how so much of these have been lost to time, the tricks I used to know, I had to thoroughly dig deep to find and rewatch, and the memories just flowed back when I found them. To do the double lift yo do not have to do a pinkie break. Just use your left thumb , press hard and move it to the right. It is easy.

Awesome trick, took me a minute to do it smoothly! Also added in my own touch, when squaring up the cards and sliding the middle card up, just place the top card half way down then just square up, it’s a lot easier especially if your cards don’t want to move.

Because magic in 50% is how you are performing and 50% is trick. If you can do trick but like in a boring way - no one will want to watch you. Look at David Blaine, he can throw cards from hand to hand, catch them in various ways and etc. - that's a big part of being a magician.

Before you start the trick, keep the whole deck of cards next to you with another blank card on the top, once you drop your three cards on the table, pick up and square the cards, keeping the king on the top, pick up the deck in the other hand and top change the king with the blank. ;)
