Definitely "fear" for me. My pop timing has always been great, so I am afraid of too much air or landing on my back. I'm pushing 60, but would like to be able to do a 360 again. I will try a steady progression...

Guys, don't skip the step where you learn to pop NOT off a jump, and then over some poles, before trying to pop off kickers. Helped me so much to take a step back and do that before going back to popping off actual jumps/features.

Depending on the situation. But mr. what your saying about the pop is something which actually is needed to do right before landing on big jumps and air moments, just before landing on the angle off the hill at your hips etc., to make the landing softer.

Hi! I am 160cm tall and rocking 157cm Armada 2013 ElRey's. Do you think this is too long for park (might be too heavy aswell)? Whenever I try to spin a 360 I either end up doing a 270 instead or then I have to spin so forcefully that landing becomes impossible. Also, they might be too stiff since I'm not able to butter on them. (These are my first pair of freestyle skis, I've never tried shorter or more flexible/ligher ones)
@ZenTunE-6 жыл бұрын
Bonus question aswell: Do you have tips for hitting rails? I'm scared I'll catch a lip or fall some other way and fall on the metal railing
@kaigorodaki4 жыл бұрын

Any tips for turning from switch back to forwards? I don’t get to ski much but the last time out I kept struggling with that. Managed it a few times but came to a complete awkward stop while turning.
@lukaszszczecinski17026 жыл бұрын
its all about where you put your weight. If you try on the flat without speed you can try to put your weight a little backwards in the tail of your skis and turn your hips to switch forwards. When you're comfortable try it with slow speed, as you progress add speed
@ThatSB6 жыл бұрын
I started absorbing the end of jumps because I hit a jump last year that had a raised lip, popped me unexpectedly, and sent me flailing sideways, almost landimg with my knee locked which would have destroyed my knee

And as a northeast skiier, it is hard to slowly increase confidence. Most mountains around here only build really big jumps and really small ones. Even Corinthia , as of a couple years ago atleast, goes straight from tiny jumps to full size.
