All locations of the coffee shops are in the description. It's my 4th trip to Vietnam and every time the duration of my gets longer: I first traveled across the country for 2 weeks, then it was a month, then 3 months and probably now I might be staying even longer. Three things I love here the most: people, coffee, and the flow of daily life. You can expect some more videos about my experience of living in Vietnam, as well as travel vlogs from other countries.

Dalgona: in the UK we call it 'cinder toffee'. Made by adding bicarbonate of soda to melted sugar and then allowing it to cool and harden. It is eaten as confectionery. It is also called 'honeycomb' even though it has no honey in it.

This is so amazing! I'm a 55 yo yt woman from Louisville Kentucky. Just to start off, I've NEVER been on a plane! I've been thru a few different states in the South and the East. Pennsylvania is the farthest North East I've been. I've been to all Southern states to the West to Missouri, Illinois , Alabama. That line is the most Western I've been. I've never been to another country. I wish I could go back and travel the world just like you're doing. Thank you for taking me with you to see things I'll never see in person! Stay safe!!

Such an interesting comment, @anissia1210. It's mostly portrait that all Americans travel all over the world, all of the time. As you envy Niki, I envy you for having seen Kentucky and some other states. Perhaps I will one day as well, although I have no such plans. Travelling to experience other cultures broadens the minds of people. So, greetings from cold Estonia and stay warm in Kentucky.

You have such an exciting life Niki! From one country to another! Good for you! You'll never look back on life and think you would've, could've or should've. It was nice to see you had a visit with Dima! That was a surprise! And last but not least, you still got it Niki! This video was well done! And also you are very comfortable talking to the camera....still! Enjoy Dalat! Look forward to your next video! Thank you for sharing your journey!🙏❤😊

Thank you Lori! That coffee from Seoul is rather simple to make if you have an electric whisk. But the Vietnamese Bac Xiu (the coffee I had in the garden) tastes way better than that. It's also easy to make, I'm actually having one right now. Start with a strong shot of coffee (espresso, or just instant coffee with no sugar), then add 15-25g of condensed milk, stir well, then pour into 75g of regular milk with ice. That's my morning coffee in Vietnam!

One great thing I've recently discovered is how easy it is to roast my own coffee just using my oven. I didn't need an expensive coffee roaster to make great tasting coffee. I put 2 cups of beans each on 3 baking sheets, pop them in the oven at 400 degrees convection roast for about 18 minutes and voila! I roast them to the right doneness by eye. You can get so many kinds of green coffee beans from all over the world, far more types than the roasted beans which are available. Give it a try!
@NikiProshin8 ай бұрын
I haven't tried to roast coffee before, that might be a good try here in Dalat since they grow a lot of coffee beans here!
@nickjohnson8118 ай бұрын
@@NikiProshin I do it on days when I can keep the windows open because it does create a little smokiness in the air when I open the oven. When it's done and cooled, I pour the beans back and forth between two pots outside to let the breeze blow away the chaff.

Hi Niki - Yes, agree - coffee first thing in the morning is popular internationally and seems to stimulate the brain and helps folks get going. It’s very big for socializing in the East and Middle East and is a big thing here in 🇨🇦 & 🇺🇸 with our Tim Hortons and Starbucks cafe chains, etc. My late dad used to dip his oatmeal cookies into his coffee. Though I love coffee - I can no longer have it for medical reasons - so have become a big black tea drinker. It’s an iconic drink in the Orient (eg the formal Japanese tea ceremony). We continue to enjoy your travel and cultural videos. Take care & Cheers!
