Tip, I always buy hamburger in bulk and spend a few hours browning it and separating it into one pound and two pound bags. That way when I’m in a hurry like on Sunday mornings I just pull out a bag, throw it in microwave for a couple of minutes then make my recipe. It’s saves so much time on those in a hurry moments.

We make that with sausage and after finished we stir in lightly scrambled eggs and we use it all week for breakfast burritos! I lightly brown tortillas with butter! Then wrap straight like an enchilada! Wrap in sheet of foil n place in ziplock bag! Then as you want 1 or 2 in the morning we throw in air fryer while dressing and grab as we walk out! Perfect throw foil out after done n bam! Breakfast burrito!! I usually scramble a dozen eggs! We have chicken n more eggs than we know what to do with! I add a dozen eggs, salt, pepper and about 1/2 t of baking powder to make them fluffy! Add cream or milk to you choice! At least 1/2 c! Enjoy! We put our avocado in s paper sack! It will be soft by dinner!

On you last meal. A suggestion on the peppers. You can do what Latinos do with dried Chile peppers. Blend with water then put the mix in a sifter and drain the juice in a bowl. So you don't have the seeds and skin in it. You only have the juice flavor. They do that in alot of recipes.

This video made me so emotional. I'm a 28yo new mom of twin boys (they're one) and when your son came in on the screen at the beginning I just thought it was the sweetest thing. And then when your husband came on to stare at you lovingly I was like omg I can't handle this. I started crying once you all were at the table eating the first meal and your husband was giving a review. It was so incredibly wholesome. I live in Canada and politically am not loving where things are going and I would love to move to the American South. Just hearing about you coming back from church and just the evident love between you all is so beautiful. What an absolutely lovely video. ❤️

Hi There! Comfort food indeed. Cooking in a crockpot is a comfort to start out with, then throw in your yummy no muss, no fuss meals and it takes comfort to a whole new level. : ) Thanks! A favorite cooking tip of mine .... when cooking with (dry) seasoning/spices, before adding them to your dish, try sprinkling them into a dry fry pan on med. high heat and toast them for (a min.?) or so, obviously before they start smoking Lol. Toasting them really brings to life, the flavors of each spice. I learned that tip several decades ago, while watching a beautiful Indonesian woman cooking over an open fire.

Think you'll like this. I was cleaning my grandson's bedroom and tried to pick up a piece of paper. There was a lure hooked in the carpet and the treble hook went into my hand. I could go nowhere because I was hooked to the carpet. My daughter was asleep. I screamed at her for a half hour without waking her. I finally found some fingernail clippers which I used to cut myself free. By that time I had peed in my pants! Woke her and went to ER to get hook removed.

Hi Mandy. I found the best pickled red onion recipe in a magazine. Its so delicious. In a small saucepan bring 3/4 cup apple cider vinegar, 1/4 cup water, 1tsp salt and 1tsp honey to a boil. Thinly slice a red onion and add to a jar and pour the hot mixture over the onions and marinate for at least 30 minutes. It can be refrigerated for up to 2 weeks. 😊

The hashbrown potato casserole looks fantastic! I'd suggest that you put your onion in after you drain your ground beef because when you drain the ground beef, it takes a lot of the flavor of the onion with it. Maybe cook the ground beef a little longer to cook the onion some but the onion is going to cook in the crockpot anyway. I'm glad to see you dint drain the lid of the crockpot into the food. Because it waters the food down. Thanks again for your recipes! Keep up the great work!!

I have texture issues too with sun-dried tomatoes. I use the dried, halved ones in the ziplock package, slice them up myself and let them sit in a little olive oil for a little while to soften them some. They are always tender after they've simmered in the recipe, and have a much better (never slimy or hairy) mouth-feel.
