I am generally a bit of a "kit lover" and I enjoy looking at peoples cool, state of the art camping/bushcraft gear when watching these vids. This lad goes out there with most basic, traditional stuff you can imagine, almost just the clothes on his back...and it is really refreshing. The debris and rock shelters always end up looking like cosy little places to hunker down in as well. Cracking channel. 👍

Leather gloves over wool gloves with fingers is good to about 10 degrees F. At zero you hands will be cold. Double Mittens are warmer. I spent a lot of time in open shelters and with wool and canvas. Open shelters are always drafty and cold. You need a long saw to cut big logs 4 foot long for warmth. Favorite open tent the Forrester for Summer to Fall. A tarp can be folded into same shape. Favorite winter Spring tent 7x7x7 canvas pyramid tent. If you sew one yourself seal stitches with clear nail polish. Can heat up a pyramid tent with a backpacking stove when making coffee or tea in the morning. Open front flap for fire out front. Winter is at least a two blanket trip. I enjoyed the video.

A small tip. I see that you often blow air at the fire, if you use a thin plastic pipe (about 10mm inner diameter, 300m long) you don't have to put your face so close to the fire/smoke, and you increase the amount and precision of the airflow. Nice video.👌👍
