I caught 2 nice Brown Trouts this week, one was 2 kg and the biggest was 2,5 kg. A nice fight from both, they will be cold smoked and eaten for christmas

Two questions: 1.) Ever consider switching out the treble hooks for a ring and single siwash? They don't have the leverage of the other hooks to pop it. 2.) Ever consider running sliding bobber to an inline weight then having a couple split shots to a bait hook, and possibly a larger hook? You wouldn't have a big slack of line down low and be more direct on hook sets plus have more room to pull the fish close to the boat. Just a couple suggestions from the NW. We typically use 1-3 oz to a leader and 2-5 hooks. I always miss the first few bobber downs for nooks because l pull it out of their mouths because I have been quick pulling steelhead! Still, you guys killed it!
