To Maxim: I bet if you told us a little bit about yourself and your wife, in the "About" section of the menu bar of Your Subscription, that afterwards, your number of new subscribers would explode! From one nature lover to another, (I am here in Northern California, USA, think class 1-5 river rafting, alpine Lake Tahoe) your Zen love for nature is captured utterly brilliantly with your camera lens. From your panoramic wilderness drone shots to your let's catch this dragonfly close up shot. Much respect to you and your wife, Best Regards, Kevin

Your musings on the firefight reflected on the cave wall, what our ancestors might have seen. Sitting next to a campfire in some remote spot. Feeling the warmth and comfort. I've looked up at the stars thinking I'm looking at the same stars, the same constellations, that another man did 10,000 years ago. Wondering, marveling at the unknown beauty. We're no different now than we were then. Another fine bit of work, well done.

I keep comparing them with Xander and of course is not going to be the same since he has more experience. How did you find your style? How do I overcome the discouragement? Do you try to copy Xander or try finding your own style? Thanks and greeting FROM Iran...
@maximbudnick2 жыл бұрын
Thanks Filip! To be honest, before I had put out my first video I have been thinking critically about xanders videos for over two years. He has always had me look over them for feedback before he released them. In the beginning we butt heads a lot more about what we liked and what we didn't. So I had a lot of time to consider what my style might be before I even started. Good news is you are already doing the best thing you can do which most people never do and that is simply start. It took me too long. By simply starting and doing it over and over you will inevitably come into your own style. The whole thing will be about taking consistent baby steps forward. With everything from improving your gear setup to what angles work and what doesn't. There are a thousand ways to do it and no right way. You can only find your way by doing it. Equipment helps and not forgetting that a thumbnail is just as important as the video itself. There is so much to say but that's a start. You have such a beautiful country to show to the world and amazing food as well. People will want to watch!

Hey Rebecca! Not really! Spring waters allow for incredible river trips, summer is glorious with wildflowers and fishing, beauty of fall colors is unmatched in Ontario, and winter has an almost spiritual pristine quietness about it. If I were FORCED to pick... I'd probably say fall like everyone else in Ontario!

That chicken looked pretty good, but you ain't eating like Xander.

Xander enjoys cooking more than I do. His appetite is not as big as it seems haha its more like he cooks way to much every time and has to stuff it down. 😄

What axe did you use and boots?
@maximbudnick Жыл бұрын
Hi Tom, I believe I might have already answered another comment of yours, but the ax is a Small Forest Axe Gransfors Bruks. I've been wearing merrell hiking boots (which arent a great fit for me and haven't held up to well), or mid-quality generic duck boots from cabellas

Could of stayed warmer if you built a small fire in the cave to warm the rocks before bed.
@maximbudnick2 жыл бұрын
Something to consider, but I was was actually quite warm in my sleeping bag on this trip. Cheers!

Did you have any interesting dreams under the tree root? 🤔
@maximbudnick2 жыл бұрын
Funny come to think of it I might have. Or I may be confusing it with another night recently where I had a strange dream.
