Great video! Yep, the great N.W. for those who love rain. Yep, alcohol stoves suck.....not dependable when you really need the heat, take forever to cook something and not worth the few oz. saved in weight. I’m no expert on the alcohol stoves , but from what I have seen a wind screen is essential. Pros : they burn clean and save on weight/space. Cons, slow and don’t burn as hot . I been using the MSR pocket rocket w piezo igniter. Love it.

Try denatured alcohol in the stove. Trangia style stoves work very reliably, just not quickly.

Sam, Sam, Sam, I really enjoyed watching! It was a bit like the monkey and the football kinda thing. Lol! I always rest my kit in the backyard before having to depend on it. I would use denatured alcohol for your stove. Rubbing alcohol sucks. I know because I bought a bunch of it for my stove and did not understand why it did not burn well and sooted up my pan.😅

You are supposed to pour just a tiny bit of alcohol around the outer lip of the trangia stove. it helps it "chimney" faster. Tip/trick # 475... 🙂

You should try and only eat the fruit meat of the Rose hip, not the seeds. You can make really nice tea, or juice or soup from it. I really enjoy it.
