Great video! How far of a hike was it to the lake?

You are not being disrespectful by camping in a graveyard. If I was a resident there I’d welcome you. Especially since you are so considerate in cleaning up after yourself.

Why on eartdid you make no me tion whatsoever of what the weather was like in central FL during Easter Weekend?.. Obviously ot summertime not and humid but prop warm days cool nights and comfortable humidkty levels still. Normally it's standard to give a brief weAther conditions while camping?? You mentioned absolutely nothing and that's not satisfactory in my book. I'll give ya another chance though. Hopefully you fish some.. catch and cook type thing.

the only time I've ever had a lean to actually suffice, it was a 15dx15 ft tarp. The winds change directtions while you're asleep and you wake up soaked. if it's cold, that's very bad news. The ground turns into mud, so i just went with a net hammock (slung low if it's cold) and use a tarp over it. There's a very limited number of ways that you can set up a tarp over a hammock. :-) Which is why KZbinr's dont advocate it, I suspect. I stay warm and dry with my set up and I can have it up and functional in a few minutes. i dont have to cut any wood to do so, either. If I have only one tree, I can use the hammock as a "slingchair' and sleep in the reclining position, as the astronauts have to do for weeks/months on end. I just lean back on the pack and a pile of brush, which is placed against the trunk of the tree. My feet and lower legs are up on another pile of brush. I use a reflective tyvek bivy with a plastic 'envelope' around it, as my sleeping gear/cltothing, atop cammies. I use a couple of 1/4 lb each amazon bugnet 'suits and a couple of their '1/2 lb each 'cut-leaf" type of camo nets, all assembled as longjohns. The netting wont let my sweat soak my cammies. I wear the bivy as a poncho and if need be, I can wrap the net hammock around me, holding dry debris around me. I can wrap my legs in the 3x4 sheet of clear PEVA shower curtain and the 3rd drum liner. Two of the lilners, taped together, form the envelope around the bivy.

How cold is it? Why cant you say its 20f or 10f. You say it is below freezing. What does that mean? I live in the high desert north of los Angeles. Several times a year in winter we have 20 degree temps.

I have a question not that you have sponsors are you still going to give us an honest opinion on the stuff or just say what they tell you
@CampingwithSamBananas3 күн бұрын
As part of this video and the latest winter TEMU video, I made sure I was allowed to give honest opinions and I did. I was actually critical as to some aspects of some of the pieces. However you're going to make your own mind up regardless of what I say. No offense, but for this reason it's kind of a waste of time when I reply to comments like yours. HOWEVER, I know you've been with the channel for a while, so I choose to respond. Thank you for the support this far and I wish you the best in the future.
