What was your favorite part of our trip to the Atacama: quad tour, flamingos, geysers, or sandboarding (aka Linny eating dirt 😂)?

Weird question but did you feel like chocking while there? When I think dry I think very low humidity but is it just very little precipitation? lol I'm sensitive to the former
@AdventureswithPinny14 күн бұрын
Not weird at all, I know what you mean! It was crazy dry like the moisture is being sucked from your skin lol. Our skin felt tight, we were very thirsty, and woke up with super dry mouths every day. I'd definitely recommend bringing plenty of lotion, chapstick, and drinking tons of water each day. I hope this helps answer your question!

How did the locals get their water from?
@AdventureswithPinny15 күн бұрын
Great question! I was curious too so I looked into this and their main source of water comes from fog. Apparently, there are large fog banks that come from the Pacific Ocean and they use mesh screens to collect this fog and filter it for use. Very interesting.

Which month was this? So cold 😮

We were there during early July, the beginning of winter! It was pretty chilly - especially up at the El Tatio geyserfield. 😬

the lady that boiled alive was taking a picture near one of the geysers and got startled when another one exploded so she fell backwards into it
