You always make me smile even if that day or days haven't been that good, watching you cooking your epic meals on an open fire with several feet of snow around you is a joy to behol, they always look yummy. Take care cant wait till the next video 🌯🌮🍕🥓🍔🍳🥩🍗🥙🌯🥚🥪🌭🥚🥟🌨❄☃️

I’m a Brit too, it’s hard to imagine how big the Canadian wilderness is and how much snow they get over there, we get an inch and the country grinds to a halt. You should check out Haze Outdoors, he’s the closest thing to Xander we in the uk have, he’s funny and does some great hikes and wild camping and loves his cooking

So, I don't remember the first video of yours that I watched. Neither how I came across it. By now I have watched many of them and every new one is a source of pure joy. I guess algorithms can really be of great value. To me you are such a wonderfully authentic, calm, appreciative and fun person. And I have never seen you in person, never spoken to you, never exchanged a written word with you. But when I watch your videos, especially the solo trips, what you see, feel, say and do resonates on a level with me that is rare. While watching this video I had this thought: Okay I finally need to get in touch with Xander and ask him how many people already asked him whether he offers to take people on a trip with him. That I am the next one to be added to that line of probably aaa lot. And that I even consider flying out from Switzerland to Canada to do so. But then this one followed up: Flying from Switzerland to Canada and back is going to do so much harm to what I enjoy Xander being around (and myself, too). So yeah, I guess we might never meet in person. And that's OK. What I really want is this: You to continue on that beautiful path of yours and hopefully also continuing sharing some bits and bobs of those experiences you are having. So, please have a small token of gratitude, appreciation and support. "Too long, didn't read": Love you, too, man. Have some delicious food and maybe a new piece of equipment on me.

I started watching Xander for more than a year now, and the reason I like him is because I related to his drug addiction videos. He inspired me to also quit drugs and to live a healthy lifestyle. I used to spend a lot of money on drugs, and now I just look forward to spending my money on outdoor equipment and traveling to the outdoors. He's definitely one of my idols 💪

I only recently stumbled across Xander's channel, but I've already watched most of his stuff over the past couple of weeks. I've been getting some crazy writer's block while working on my second book, and I've found that taking a break and watching one of his videos really helps me recharge my creative juices. I think it might be due to the relaxation they induce, or perhaps it's how they take me away from the stresses of my own life - I almost feel like I'm out there in the wilderness for a little while. Anyway, thanks for another great video!

Pro tip to drying out your boots, put a bunch of drier sheets in your boots. It sucks up the moisture and makes your boots smell good. Ive been in the Army for a number of years and I never leave home without them. You can take a couple packs of drier sheets, put them in a zip lock bag, press out as much air as you can so you can pack them away nicely. Even put that lip locked bag with the drier sheets in with a bunch of other zip lock bags for extra bags for whatever you may need to keep dry later on. Most likely your local surplus store may have wet weather bags for your clothes to keep them dry.

great trip out being there in the moment is always the best reminder of why we do it. It's very cool that you got to spot the otters during the trip. We got to experience some playing on a winter trip a few years ago. They are so much fun to watch.

I love these videos cause they bring a sense of calm and bring you away from the world for even just a little bit. They’re peaceful. I hope one day I can do this. Can’t really do snow camping in the south! Lol! Thank you for only using dead trees! Until then I’ll live vicariously through you. I think it’d be cool to see a timelapse of the sky and area when you sleep.
