Yah I dont know what I was thinking cooking up such a massive Calzone. Looked pretty nasty on camera but it was a tasty thing to eat after putting in so much hard work.

This is the first ever camping video of yours that I watched. And now, after finishing all your videos, I'm watching this one for the second time. It is an absolute pleasure watching you do your thing man! I just love the way you appreciate your camping experience, the way you make and enjoy your food, and the way you make people smile with your goofy humour. Yours is undoubtedly the best camping channel there is and I'm gonna be watching you for a long time(in a non-creepy way of course).

I have done a series of canoe trips, the longest of the them being 50 days, spanning across, Biscotasing, Kiapawa, Algonquin, Quetico, French River, Spanish River, Lake Superior etc. Unfortunately, due to school I haven't been able to head into the woods for a few years. Your videos allow me to reminisce of my time in the bush and bring back memories close to my heart. Thank you once again!

What I love about this video in particular is the two second shot of your vehicle in what looks to be your neighborhood. Clearly several homes in the area. It shows that you can live in the city and the wilderness doesn’t have to be in your backyard to enjoy a little getaway. With a little planning and some travel you too can have a fun adventure for a day or weeks at a time to get away from the madness of society. Thank you for that.

Loved the more personal comments you made in the video. I've been binge watching your videos in the last months and since I also started solo camping myself during an existential crisis period, it really hit home. Yes, we will die and that's a powerful thought and feeling putting in motion proper actions hopefully. I really appreciate you Xander and thank you for what you do! I am curious what your plan is for breaking the camping routine though. :)

Hey man! Love the content! You mentioned changing it up your routine a little bit. Which made me instantly think about Cave Camping. I use to go caving where we would be underground for 6-12 hours at a time. Ive camped twice in a cave and its an experience like no other. With good lights and a couple Canadian cavers it would definitely change up the routine. It made me see camping from a different perspective with no sunlight, wood, or shelter.

@@XanderBudnick I live on the east coast of the US so we just go to local ones here. In terms of locations in Canada you could reach out to some local grottos or clubs to see if you could join a trip. You would most likely need a guide or at least two others with you for safety. But only certain caves have a “sleep-able” area.

Straight to the point and with the facts. I love your presentation. I get sick of posts that can't get to the point of their junk backpacking ideas.

Don't know how long I've been following you but for some reason I enjoy watching your videos. I dunno if it's the calm and relaxing that comes from watching but whatever it is. It's new to me and I enjoy them. Takes me to a calm place in my head. (:
