Thanks for the video, I love ecoslay at the moment. For my fine, low porosity hair, the first time I used it I used it with the ecoslay leave in - worked well but my hair was almost over moisturised - the definition was unreal though. I get great results with OM and innersense ICH. I also got good results from just washing my hair with a cleanser and only using orange marmalade (it was a pretty moisturising cleanser, almost a conditioner).

I found your channel recently and your videos are so helpful. You do some things other KZbinrs don’t when it comes to hair videos-you show how your hair looks on days 2 & 3 without refreshing, you tell what kind of hair a product will work for, you give lots of feedback on how the product worked for you. I love how you have tried so many brands of hair products. These videos have helped me narrow down what I want to buy so I’m not going to waste money. I would be interested in seeing you try Verb curly hair products and Giovanni naturals. KZbin seems overrun with girls in their twenties making hair videos. The 1st time I had used this, I used it like a gel (glaze then scrunch), and applied the jello shot as a 2nd gel on top, & loved the results! I have no idea what I used as a curl cream. I had seen a few videos of people using it more like a curl cream, so I decided to give that a go, but it was awful. My hair immediately got this weird plastic-y feel, which happens to me quite a bit with gels that are mainly flaxseed, and it's almost but not quite as though a cast forms immediately. I consider this flash drying, but I know for other people flash drying frizzes their hair. Mine definitely didn't frizz since it was in super slick plastic clumps that barely curled at all. When I scrunched it there was no squishing sound, & the plastic sections didn't even react to me scrunching, it was as if I didn't do anything at all. I tried adding more water to my hair, but nothing happened. I added even more water, but I don't think it could penetrate the plastic lol. I had hoped diffusing would do the trick, allowing it to spring back up, but it never left that original loose wavy shape it had frozen in. It was so strange because it wasn't crunchy like a cast. It didn't even feel like hair at all. I haven't used it since then, mostly because I'm worried about what it will go with. I'll have to try it with the briogeo & then maybe just add a foam or 2nd gel on top of it.

Wow, that’s so weird that it would behave so differently! It definitely plays nice with the Briogeo which brings in some much needed protein. I like the idea of adding a foam or mousse too. As always, thank you for your comments, support, and watching my videos!

I experienced the exact same thing when using it like a curl cream, and now pair it with the Curls blueberry bliss leave in conditioner instead. It works really, really well like this; the results are unreal! For reference, I have low density, fine, medium porosity 2B, 2C hair. I used to struggle with tangles but this combo leaves my hair soft enough that I can run my fingers through it. :)

I just love your hair!! I had hair similar to it except I had more ringlets then I went through extremely stressful time and my cardiologist put me on a new med and my hair started falling out.. so I went from thick coarse hair to thin fine hair. 😞 I still have curls and some ringlets but it’s not my normal and it’s depressing. Anyhow not here to depress anyone so thank you for your amazing videos love this channel! Great info!

I just ordered these products and I’m expecting them soon. I can’t wait to try them. I have coarse, thick, 2c/3a hair and some pieces that do 3b curls. I have been using Bounce Curl Rose and Avocado oil cream and KC gel. I like Innersense hair bath and hydrating conditioner mostly unless I’m clarifying before using henna; then I use Bounce Curl clarifying shampoos (they have a gentle and a more clarifying that makes your hair very soft).

I still haven’t tried the ecoslay line. I can’t get on board with the refrigerate thing. Seeing your experiments were really interesting though. I just purchased Camille Rose’s curl maker and I think it’s become my favorite gel. Now on the hunt for a favorite curl cream now.

I recently found your channel and find it helpful. I have an issue with my blood which left my hair fried and falling out. I'm not going bald but I was getting large handfuls of hair when I washed it. I eliminated products with chemicals which is how I found ecoslay. I've been using the rice pudding and orange marmalade daily. I like it but it doesn't provide the moisture I need and doesn't hold my curls all day. I might try adding the jello shot to see what that does. Have you tried their Chai Latte shampoo?

Love OM! It’s so moisturizing for me that I use it without a leave-in or curl cream and I seem to get good hold for several days. I do put it in before brush styling with the scrunch it brush (highly recommend), but I do run the brush under water before running it through each section to get good slip. Have you tried their new lemon buttercream?

It’s such a great product! I’ve never tried it without a leave in or curl cream though. I can see that working because of the moisture. I haven’t heard they’ve got a lemon buttercream. I’m going to have to check that out! I might have to grab some when I reorder the Orange Marmalade since I’m out! Thank you for watching!

Thank you for this, this was very helpful! I bought this and used it once - tried to use it a gel, and it felt like I had no hold in my hair at all, so I stuck it back in the fridge (I agree with other commenters, that's annoying) and haven't touched it since. I'll try it under a hard hold gel, I have pretty good luck with other cream gels & custards when I use them this way.

Hi! I own OM but have only used it one time. I don’t own jello shot. Aloe is the second ingredient in Jello Shot and I don’t think my hair loves aloe. Just wondering if you have ever tried it with a different hard hold gel. By the way, I love your videos. Very informative! Wish you lived close to me so you could cut my hair!

I’ve tried it with the Biolage gelée and had great results. But then I get great results with the Biolage no matter what I use it with. I am going to try it with some other hard hold gels though. I don't think I've ever seen you brush your hair when it's dry, Like before you're about to wash. it is that because it is bad for the hair or coral formation?

I brush it before every wash to help get most the shed hair out and to detangle. Brushing can cause damage if you’re not careful. But as long as you’re careful it’s not bad for the hair. Your hair is actually stronger when it’s dry than when wet. And brushing it dry doesn’t affect the curl formation. Thank you for watching!
