I agree! I wish more companies had eco friendly refillable options. I also wish more brands like Ecoslay would offer smaller sized products so you can try them out before you commit to buying the bigger size. Then if the product doesn't work for whatever reason, you don't have to feel bad because you spent less on a small bottle. Hope companies hear you and listen!

@ecoslay Orange Marmalade 4oz is their smallest size. It is only $10. They also have a travel size kit for $20. The products are so worth. I have tried the Matcha Boost,which is a protein mask, and the Orange Marmalade so far. I love these products. I plan on purchasing more of their products soon. They are coming out with a leave-in (Rice Pudding) on 9/7/2020. (FYI: I do not work nor am I sponsored by the company. 😂. I just love what they stand for and how clean their products are. 💖

I've been wanting to mention you should try this. I recently bought it and love it!!! I bought the wash day bundle with the orange marmalade. The shampoo and conditioner are equally just as good. I also bought jello shot. Love the two gels combined. So glad to know we can send the bottles back. I love when companies do things like that.

I have been really struggling with applying this product. My hair gets frizzy and dry. I love that you explained how to match it because I just ordered yesterday the jessiculr styling and I have been using a drugstore leave-in before...

Hi! I use the Bouncecurl Clump Cream as my leave-in, then I use the AG one styler and I top it with the EcoSlay Orange Marmalade. If I want more hold then before I apply the ecoslay, I apply the I Create Volume from Innersence....this combo is chef's kiss. Pretty good for fine, easily weighed down hair.

I pair this with the same leave-in. I do use a lot of water and a tiny bit of curling custard after he leave-in and before the gel. So far, it's the best combo on my 2C hair for frizz and longevity. Nothing will help if I don't pineapple when I sleep. All I have to do is pineapple and water refresh between washes though, and that's not the case with all the other gels and combos I've tried. If I washed every day, I'd go with my Bounce Curl items, but I'm a frizzy mess on the days following wash day with those. Thanks for the review!

Louisa can you please please please do a video on DIY skincare. I know your not a professional, but you've helped me so much with my skin, my hair and my daughter's hair. I'd love an updated video(s). Colder weather will be here soon and my eczema will start acting up. Im looking for things like DIY body lotion/butter/cream, shave cream, body exfoliants, etc. And then face creams/lotions that won't clog my pores. Maybe different oils or serums to add for anti-aging, hyperpigmentation, etc. Which ever ones you know how to make, the different ways to make them, and the best ingredients to put together... I'd love to learn. I also like that I can use them on my children as well. I know I have to be careful because everyone's skin is different. Seeing it done and the different methods/ ingredients helps narrow and choose my own that are similar. Make a series out of it and see if others enjoy it as well....Just an idea ❤

So glad you did this video. I use shampoo conditioner leave-in and deep conditioner from an Etsy gal who lives in Iowa like me - can you say similar climate lends to her products working for my hair lol! (Wonderweeds is her shop). However she does not make a gel. Right now I pair my flax seed gel with KCCC but could use a little more hold and been looking at this product and debating for some time on giving it a try.

I am ordering 2 products to see how they work with my hair. Just FYI, not being able to pronounce an ingredient has nothing to do with anything. I am still confused as to the intent of why people say this about products, insinuating that they are less than??

I so agree about Orange Marmalade and the final result is truly fabulous. I am unsettled though as both times I have used it I end up with flash drying immediately after putting the O M on my hair. (I always use KCKT leave in first). My second wash day attempt with OM - I made sure I did not use too much of either product but still had the unpleasant flash. I added more water both times and continued putting Spiralicious gel over the top. Raked in and scrunched as normal. End result was great but wonder if anyone has any tips?

I appreciate your videos, Luisa, thank you! Question: How do you feel the orange marmalade compares to Kinky Curly's Curling Custard? I'm guessing they're very similar but maybe the orange marmalade is a little more moisturizing?
@LuisaLouis2 жыл бұрын
Thank you Danielle! I like the Orange Marmalade better. The KKC Custard tends to be a little too heavy and builds up really fast. The Orange Marmalade is a lot lighter and does a good job! I just posted a video on Maui Ultra-Hold gel that you should check out, it might work for you. kzbin.info/www/bejne/fZybe5SVfd6UarM

I so want to try this but I'm also scared. Im not the biggest fan of using gels without a slight cast so that makes me a bit nervous. Plus I'm a cheap woman lol. I love the KKCC, it's my favorite leave-in just hate using because then its gone haha.
@LuisaLouis3 жыл бұрын
Haha! I feel you Christina 😊 Keep in mind that it all depends on how you apply your product. you will get a stronger cast if you apply a generous amount just before diffusing. But that means using more product...Maybe for a special event once in a while 😉

Hi Louisa ! I recently started embracing my natural wave/curls and started watching your videos and I'm already a fan! My natural wave pattern is a bit looser than yours,I think its 2b ,with some 2c☺. Can I please ask you something,I see a lot of wavies only combing through their conditioner but not after that,but you comb your leave-in as well,do you think the combing/brushing through of products is important and will it work for my hairtype? I guess I figured combing it after conditioner takes out your curl but I'm thinking I might be wrong!😀 Have a nice day and thanks for another great video!🌼
@LuisaLouis3 жыл бұрын
Hello Corne! Thats a great question and my answer is YES!😀 I do think that brushing through product is very important to help with product distribution and frizz. As long as my hair is wet with products in it I will feel very comfortable brushing. But no more brushing once my curls are formed. I go straight to diffusing. Hope that makes sense. 🙂

Do you find it resists well with humidity? And how would you compare it to the kinky curly custard?
@LuisaLouis3 жыл бұрын
I do. It is lighter than KKCC, by that i mean that it feels light on your hair but has a stronger hold. hope that makes sense 😅

I've tried this twice so far. Once alone to see how my hair liked it, second time I used a small amount of gel on top. Next wash I'm going to try this I have the kinky curly leave in conditioner. How do you refresh this?
@LuisaLouis4 жыл бұрын
That's great! To refresh I would spray so water to reactivate the product and maybe add a tad-bit more depending on how your hair feels when wet.
