It sounds like you're deeply affected by the situation in Asheville, and it's understandable. Communities going through tough times often need support from others, whether it's through spreading awareness, donations, or hands-on assistance. If you feel strongly about it, there may be ways to contribute, like local relief efforts, charity organizations, or even just helping to share their story so more people can get involved. If you’re going to a new place, especially someone’s home, let a trusted friend or family member know where you are and who you’re with. I was selling an iPhone and some decorations at my sister’s house while I was moving. I needed the money for rent deposit. My mobility isn’t great so when people were coming by to pick up things I was selling, I was just opening the door and letting them come in. I remember the girls who came for the decorations. Rich type. The house was clean and they turned their noses up at what I was selling. I was offered $10 and said no. They tried sweet talking me but I held firm. I needed that money. They ended up paying $20 and while they were driving away they called me a creep. It was still daytime. This makes me sad to hear.

when I heard Asheville, NC in the second story my heart dropped, knowing wherever they were hiking is most definitely gone now. I hope OP is okay too.

The person in the first story broke the record for most red flags ignored.

If there's anything I've learned from being a Mr. Nightmare fan for a few years it's: numerous problems can be solved with a blicky.

If it was the spirit of his aunt in that story who came to visit him after he passed, it's spooky but kind of heartwarming in a way. It would be nice to believe that our loved ones want to say goodbye before moving on.

He turns off his flash in an already dark place , goes down the stairs, sees 2 lit candles, and someone rocking the chair, turns around, and tip toes back to the top of the stairs all the while looking back only to find the candles put out. Doesn't seem to even panic at all even for a second. And here I flip on all the lights before i cross my lounge to get a glass of water from the kitchen jeez i can not even walk in my own place with the lights out and my boy turns off the only source of light in the whole house.

I believe the woman on the bridge story. My mom and my grandmother had similar experiences with my grandfather. Also, in my dad's final days, he told my mom that my uncle had visited him and told him to go with him. Because my dad was in hospice for a month, he was unaware that my uncle had died 3 weeks earlier. You can imagine my mom's shock when he said Jack came to see him. We didn't tell my dad that Jack had died. Somehow, I think he already knew.
