The one security device I always bring to a h/motel no matter how high or low quality is a wedge for the door. Just a regular rubber wedge like you can buy at any office supply store. Jam it solidly under the hotel room door and it becomes almost impossible to open, even for someone with a key; plus, it can be just as easily removed if you need to make a quick exit. Nothing bulky or too obvious to carry around, costs about $2, and will definitely improve the quality of your sleep if you find yourself somewhere that you don't quite trust.

@LindaHull-le1st
@LindaHull-le1st 2 ай бұрын
Story 1, Never leave the curtains open in a motel room. And don't ever answer the door unless you're expecting someone. Even then look through the peephole. No peephole? Peek through the curtains so the person can be identified. One more thing. There's probably a landline. If it rings do not answer it. By doing so you just unintentionally invited a stalker to your room. When you check into motel or hotel contact a friend and a relative, (this way at least two people know) let them know where you are and for how long. If your plans change, contact them and let them know.

The last story is a strange one and smells like a setup. Crazy guy pounds on wall then immediately hides somewhere, not necessarily under the bed, to get the jump on you when you go in to investigate. Some people are SO weird. I think this story was a closer call than it may seem.

Ive learned a lot of things from watching Mr Nightmare but a recurring observation is that people are too curious for their own good, in certain situations it could save you but other times it leads you into potential avoidable danger. Two sides to a coin and depends on which side you get.

Fun fact about Xenia Ohio: it is the first town in the country to experience the first recorded F5 Tornado. Obviously there were more before but when tornados started being ranked on the scale used today Xenia got that experience. My home state! OH

I love Ohio! Xenia included. This story teller lied and was disrespectful to those from Xenia. He said the whole town. He couldn't be more wrong. I'll never forget the tornadoes in Xenia. Terrible sad. I grew up in Sugarcreek/Bellbrook area next to Xenia and we had much debris on our land from the Tornado.

The audio design on that first story was absolutely amazing. Once as a young teenager 13 maybe, I was traveling to Florida with my friend and her family. We stopped in Georgia at a roadside hotel/motel. So my friend and I left our room to grab some drinks and a couple older men attempted to proposition us and invited us to their room. It was so scary and thank God her big burly dad wasn't far behind and basically threatened the guys and scared them off. I'm certain we would've been murdered.
