I remember after 9/11 how we came together. We weren’t black or white or brown. We weren’t liberal or conservative. For just a moment we were all Just Americans.

I remember that time very well. Despite the god awful tragedy it did give me hopeful glimpse of the future. A future where we are all simply Americans nothing more nothing less. Being united in pain, in grief, in anger, in hope, and in determination. Because Americans standing united together in freedom. Peace, liberty, and the pursuit of prosperity will always prevail. Also enemies of America listen closely and carefully. Attacking Americans and her citizens will be at your own peril, you’ve been warned!

I spent 27 years in the Air National Guard and retired as a Chief Master Sergeant. During these years, I got to know my fellow GuardsmEn as a proactive member of the Enlisted Association National Guard of Arizona. During the onset of OIF & OEF, 54% of the fighting forces was National Guard. During Hurricane Katrina, the National Guard was there helping people and rebuilding lives. Since 1636, the National Guard, your citizen soldiers and airmen, have been there fighting our enemies and supporting our communities. NATIONAL GUARD MOTO: "Always Ready, Always There". ALWAYS!

If, for some reason, you are opposed to America's military, keep it to yourself. Semper Fi! The US Military, the best of the best. I can't wait to fight along side my future brothers and sisters, defending this country from terrorism, both foreign and domestic. By domestic I mean our shit government, but the citizens of this country, I will defend with my life and fight until the very end.

The military is what you make of it and it takes a special person to stand up and accept that challenge. I have seen combat and I would go back anytime in order to keep my family and friends safe here at home. I praise all that have served and will serve. I am a career soldier with almost 21 years in now and I don't see an end to this anytime soon.

This video makes me proud. Not only the sacrifice they have gave. But their courage. I am happy to say one day I will be in that uniform. Maybe with a green beret? But lets not get ahead our selves. Democracy is worth fighting for! And by god I will give my life for all of the men, women and children in this country and all of our allies.

Thanks to all the Guardsmen out there. You guys have it harder than us active duty folks do, sometimes; you get less training and/or practice to do the same job than we do. And on top of that, you can get called up during a local emergency. All sorts of strings have to be pulled to get us out there in uniform.

To all the service men and women of our county: God bless u, and stay safe on the battlefield, as I keep u in my thoughts and prayers every day. To our fallen, your sacrifice will not be forgotten, nor has your sacrifice been in vain.

When I was a little kid I wanted to join the National Guard. It was during the Vietnam Conflict and a lot of people were down on the military. The Guard are modern day Minutemen. I liked the idea of helping my fellow Americans in times of emergency.
