Firstly, congratulations!! 🎉 And I was wondering if you could do a walk through of your equipment such as bags, grips, string and so on for match days and for training. I think this would help people who are wanting some advice for what to bring for match days etc. thank you for the great video as always!

Can you make a video about how to reduce tunnel vision when playing badminton? I feel like my eyes are always glued to the ball and i cannot simultaneously observe both the ball and the body position of my opponent. It makes it harder for me to better anticipate my opponent's shots.

Great tips!! The third point hit home hard, anytime I play with a better player I overthink where to place it as I feel there is less space and loose composure leading to errors.

I learnt from a player also this : people often try to hit to the "spaces" which is very predictable for experienced player to know you WILL hit over there. But the winning game of badminton is to hit the shuttle to the opposite court so your opponent cannot get it back to yours. So, flooding your shots to one particular player at their body is also a way to achieve that. It literally becomes a 2 to 1 game. Just fun to share.

Hi Greg and Jeny, Most of us amateur players playing at string tension of 26 lbs or even less for players playing with stock strings (22-24 lbs) always find themselves lifting right back to the opponent. These tactics that you showed in these video are great. However it would be very helpful if you can teach us two things 1. Drop return to a smash 2. Cross court drop return to a smash. Thanks again for all the content 🙌🏼

idea is to BLOCK it! How: - Anticipate the bird placement - Squat in time , so as to use your legs n Body to provide the impetus ( as opposed to using A FULL stroke to strike the bird) - Use only Wrist n Hand Grip to CONTROL( block) the shuttle. * With time n patients- Anticipation will come

The 1st Tactic of not lifting to the same CORNER! - First decide what is a Corner( let's us say it is forehandside & backhandside) - Returning a slightly deep but flatter return on the same side works; as it forces the players to QUICKLY adjust if he( or she) going to get A better angle; This is difficult to achieve and also throws the BALANCE off the player, resulting into inaccurate return.[ This is my take] - Similarly On the Backhandside, the player has to be very skillfull( doing scissor kick n Round the head attacks) This if not well BALANCE & timed well will result in poor n inaccurate shot! ( Also isolating the player furtherest AWAY from his fullback coverage n exposing more court for you. [[ Tell me which is it? 😢 or 😅 ]]

According to me : Second tactic is not that useful as now a days when we do straight lift we stand in the same court and our partner is standing on the centre line for defence to pick centre shuttles so it is easy to pick the centre drop
@BadmintonInsight Жыл бұрын
Maybe then you wouldn’t play it exactly to the centre but in between the 2 defenders! Or if they are stood really close to the middle a cross court drop could then be a winning shot 😀
