I’m Spanish and in my family we have this tradition that at 12 am on the night of your birthday we wake up the person and give them a lei with their favourite things on them and then sing happy birthday . It’s one of my favourite memories from my childhood .

Many got simular stuff when I graduated eh way to many years ago. We just tied a ribbon to the candy wraps so we don't use lots of extra plastic for nothing. It's allready wrapped. Or glue to the wrap and the ribbon. Also easy to eat with it all still around neck

I've done this technique on a wire frame ($tree has several shapes) can be theme like the red white and blue i just did for 4th of July, Labor Day or memorial day!
