I played piano for 3 years in total and ive always asked for sheet music lol- turns out the chords is much better especially when people start singing along lol, i find a small mix between the two is best most of the time, but this cool, probably my favourite tutorials i seen :)

Hi! I am the 100th comment as I can see here so I'll try to make it good. I have been searching through youtube like a madman for songs to play on a piano ever since I found my keyboard which I had forgotten about.... and I really didn't know anything about how to play songs with coordination let alone up to the beat.... So This is the first video that has genuinely helped me learn at least a few songs that I can play without any complicated stuff or even very fast pace and I absolutely LOVE IT.... so thank you so much and keep teaching us how to play like it's the only thing that matters

Thanks for this video. I'm in the beginner category, have only watched different lessons on KZbin and started practicing. I'm not trying out for a band or anything like that, I just want to be able to play music for myself and friends and family when we have out get togethers. One thing I noticed when you got to the 1-2-3-4 Practice Method section (remember, I'm a beginner with no lessons :) ) was that you were hitting three keys for the D-Major chord, not only two keys. I did not notice in the Florida Georgia Line section that D-Major was selecting one of the black keys with the other two, but then I picked that up for the 1-2-3-4 Practice Method section.

What you can do is look up the key the song is played in (in this case G major) and just play around with the notes until you find something that sound correct. Usually modern poo song have simple melodies, only using a couple of notes, and they shouldn't be too difficult to learn.

And yes, to get started you can do what Max is saying - especially if you prioritize the notes GABDE (this is called the Pentatonic Scale and all of those notes sound really "poppy" with the chords we learned). But also I'll def work on getting some videos out in the future that are more melody dominant!

Any interested in piano should learn the right way with a teacher. Learn properly. Theory scales arpeggios technique performance directions sight reading...follow a progressive syllabus like ABRSM or Trinity... use a coursebook like Pam Wedgwood or the Faber series. This video will only teach u basic chords and nothing about the structure and Theory of music.

Alright so this so like no joke I watched your another video with 4 easy songs I got a piano that literally was not using cleaned it off and got started learned your 4 rytmhs and then started listening piano tutorials from Betaustic KeyFlow or FlowKey something like that and I can play my fav songs like 50/50. ILYSM ❤. Damn playing piano is so satisfying and the muscle memory has to be good as hell and IT SOUNDS JUST SO PERFECT AND BEAUTIFUL.

Hello, I’m just a little confused about the G major chord in this video is D, G, B but shouldn’t it start with G (like right hand thumb (1) on G, 3 on B and 5 on D) like every other chord starts with the chord letter for example c major start c and so on. That’s also how it is on the cheat sheets but here in the video G major starts with D Hope this is understandable English is not my first language

Yes you can keep them inverted for the entire song! Only 2 are inverted because those two would be "far away" from the other chords. So we invert those two to keep them nice and close. Hope that makes sense!

Honestly, you could start with these pieces! They're pretty easy since it's only one hand at a time (although you can add in the left hand later), and you're also learning some music theory at the same time
