Yeah Practice is key I travel in the worst traffic on purpose all the time to make sure my awareness is sharp I work on all aspects of riding I am appalled at the terrible state of drivers because most don’t do anything once they get their license but drive and if crisis occurs accident is 95% of the time what happens Thanks for this I also read and take classes on what makes us better as motorcyclists

Train. Practice. Train more. Doing the same thing year in, year out, goes nowhere. In fact things usually get worse, bad habits develop and improvements are few & far between.

Should always be pushing and learning new skills properly

@@cliveadams7629 I agree but that’s not accessible for everyone in the hobby. And skills are different for different aspects of the sport. For example I would always say a school of class will be the best way to learn, esp for track riding but someone that’s commuting may not have the resources or ability to do that and will have to rely on self teaching and free resources to improve. Someone like that can still become an excellent rider on their own.

@xmotojack You may be right, but it's a lot more difficult & will take much longer than having someone, even just someone you know with more experience, watch and give notes. In the UK we have RoSPA, the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents, who operate a scheme which is a few quid a year to join affiliated clubs with trained observers who will go out with you for a contribution foe their fuel. Don't know what's available in the US.
