Hey coach! Thank you for this video. I did notice that you were saying to flip our hips when changing direction. I’m not sure if this is faster. But I was taught to never show my chest to the infield, and to flip my shoulders the other way. It does take your eyes off of the ball for a split second but I believe it is a faster way of changing direction.

Yes but a line drive that you misread you can’t turn on that ball id say it’s okay to do while your catching the ball or a second before you catch the ball but if you read it right there shouldn’t be a need for it

Hey coach i just want to say that you have been helping me alot. Your curve ball video completely helped me with my problem. I'm also a utility player so I watch all your videos. Could we get a identifying pitches video? I'd really like that. Keep up the good work 👍.

I know this video is fairly old, but I just had a question-during the box drill, you said if a coach points sideways, then you just take that simple first step with your lead foot. If that's the case in the outfield, why is that not what we want to do when stealing a base or running a 60 yd dash?

Hey Captain I’m a freshman in high school and I’m a outfielder like you. my coach was telling me how he likes my hustle and attitude but the problem is he told me that “when it’s a ground ball I need to charge the ball and start breaking down when the ball is gets closer”...I guess what I’m saying is if you can make a video about how to catch (screaming line drives, bad hops, and how to read them.) I REALLY want to make my high school team!. I hope you have the time to make this video. P.S. there’s another centerfielder that’s also a freshman and I don’t want him to win me over so it would really be appreciate. Tip Of The Hat.

Justin, you've got some good stuff here so thanks for sharing. However, your Shakira drill is teaching players to turn their hips back to home plate which will cost them a couple steps, instead of continuing their momentum and flipping their head around without having to slow down. Please consider eliminating this.
