They could apply these mechanics to the Jerusalem area and make Crusades much more interesting.
@mattnykamp28612 жыл бұрын
I think they will apply this to most regions. this reads very much like a initial rollout test of a new mechanic. hopefully the next dlc will include multiple areas since it seems like they front loaded the development of this

The most essential thing is you can only start the 2 new dynasty legacies when a part of the struggle both are worth getting especially with the massive amount of renown you can get in the struggle to help finish of more legacies. be sure to make you first legacies Metropolitan Lv1 and Coterie Lv1 because if they are started before you end the struggle they are kept and available to unlock the rest of even after the struggle ends.

@mattnykamp28612 жыл бұрын
@@PartyElite my hope is that you can form pre-established regional and global trade routes to and from certain counties all over.. these routes become more efficient based on control level of trade counties and opinion with rulers involved. setting up a trade route should increase diplo range

Started a game as Tulaytulah and now I'm close to conquering all of Iberia before my first ever phase change :(
@notthatsrssrsly2 жыл бұрын
conquering too much, too early actually kills point system for the struggle because you don't have any other realms taking actions.

Forming Portuguese culture and getting 2 free innovations helped me get ahead of the other cultures tech wise. Especially with the struggle clash mechanic was easier to form than any other play through.

Anyone else ran into a problem of already having conquered the entire peninsula but could not end the struggle due to not having your kingdom converted to religion and culture? It'll take too much time. Meanwhile, we're drifting into compromise phase, from which I'm not sure if we're going to be able to get back to conflict phase as there are no independent realms left.
@BeedrillYanyan2 жыл бұрын
@Phillis "Dick" Black I think I have found a solution. You can always bide your time, convert everything to your culture and religion. The problem is ensuring that the hostility phase comes back. My solution is to sanction war declaration for all your vassals (or just the ones in regions you want to destabilize). If you don't want them to become too powerful, you can force partition them. This should generate a lot of catalysts to steer you to the hostility phase.

Do you think there's any chance of these mechanics being expanded to other areas, not just Iberia?
@PartyElite2 жыл бұрын
For sure! They mentioned it in one of their dev diaries, and It looks like it's built for future expansions, both free and paid. I also wouldn't be surprised if modders are already making plans!

Just when I was starting to understand how this game works they drop this idk if i can be bothered playing something so complicated

This stuff only applies if you're in the Iberian Peninsula or just outside of it, so you can totally play without engaging with this stuff if you want to learn the core mechanics first. If you have any questions, feel free to drop in on the Discord and ask away (or check out my beginner's guide series linked in the description if you haven't already). Always happy to help!
@Atillatzke2 жыл бұрын
Yeah just keep playing outside iberia until you learned the game. You will eventually realize the game isnt really that hard and even lacks many features and many things quickly get repetitive and boring. It just looks so complex and overwhelming because most things you can do are so "hidden" and not well explained or highlighted. Thats why i think the struggle mechanic is really nice and should be eventually expanded onto the whole map. Also real trade like with trade goods, goods flow (tariffs, war for resources and stuff were a thing...) and other economy related stuff need to become game mechanics too.

I played the count of santiago, was able to push a claim to the kingdom of asturias and make the king my bestfriend, when he died, the throne passes to his 1 year old daughter, i took the opportunity to claim the throne, i won but i was disappointed because even though i got the kingdom of asturias, the little girl made a new kingdom title in galicia so instead of winning it all, some vassals remained to her. I thought i would claim all the vassals alongside as soon as I won, the result is not what it seems to be. its kind of unnatural and broken.
