Well Travis can thank his daddy for getting him and himself a life sentence without the possibility of parole. What they did was stupid. But Roddy has to be dumbest of them all. Why would u involve yourself in a situation you know absolutely nothing about. Oh that's right, i know why, it was because he saw two white men chasing a black man and just couldn't resist jumping in. That is exactly what being a racist possibility get u. A life sentence is exactly what he deserves..

I love how fair, respectful, and honest this judge is. And how HONORABLE he is. He didn't take crap from either side, he treated the victim's family with sensitivity, but demanded respectful decorum in his courtroom. He treated both defense and prosecution equally. He did not take sides, he did not allow politics or people's racial biases to be brought into the courtroom, he even made damn sure the jury could NOT be influenced by the individuals outside the courthouse. But i served my time with a heart of accountability and remorse. Its crazy, through 6 prison terms i served 10 and a half years. I came home and for the past 10 years I been a county employee. Its sort of surreal because the sheriff, the DA, the judge are now my co workers. Our paychecks come from the same office. @@c.b.jersey7304 maybe so but it has nothing to do with the original comment. Ahmaud Arberry wasn't made to feel less than. He was murdered.

@@derricknregina I know and I totally understand what your saying, I just thought your comment was a little harsh that's all. I don't think she meant any harm but I get that it's not the same thing.

I hope this is a turning point in helping to shed the ugliness of America’s past and moving into a future where this type of atrocity no longer occurs. Racism is a scourge and must be stamped out.

Now I understand why Critical Race Theory is needed. The slaughter of an innocent man was for no reason. The entanglement stems from race and misjudgments. The jurors are from a different generation. All of this sadness could have been avoided

I wonder, when the defendants try to appeal this, if they'll try to cast doubt on both the judge and the jury, and try to claim the jury was "racially biased" against them or that they were "paid and influenced by outside groups" and that the in-court poll of the jury was "unfair" and how it was a "stolen" and all that crap? The defendants' lawyers certainly seem to be the type to try this.
