Nice review mate. I got exactly everything u got here. Invictus caddy’s shell retention change drastically once all shells are stacked in there, causing the four columns pushing against each other, if only three columns are used, ie a double load, empty column then a quadload, the shell retentions are perfect. Safariland 086 got a slight problem when using longer shells like slugs for different stages I found. I just switched to king competition and it’s pretty much everything u need. Awesome review and thanks for sharing mate.

On the King Competition caddy, I can see if you get different shotgun shells with different amounts of steel in them, you will experience different levels of retention with the magnets. I noticed this when picking up spent shotshells at matches that different brands have different amounts of magnetic force depending on how much steel is in them.

Fantastic. I have safariland and invictus for belt. Far prefer the safariland. If in the heat of summer, you will loose shells as the invictus plastic softens in heat...not good. Am looking at a chest rig for large stages.

Oh yeah if the plastic get even softer I can definitely see how it would be problem. One sad thing is seems require some DIY to build a chest rig from 086. But I think I have seen some famous shooter do it on instagram. You may also want to checkout King Competition chest rig. They are so sweet.

@@yuyu900726 I ended up ordering more 086 safarilands which I am going to mount to a kydex plate with a velcro backing. Mount on a micro chest rig. Will be able to swap the fronts out from shotgun shells to mags as needed for various stages.

How’s the retention while on the move with the Kings though? If you were to jump up would they fall out or stay in place? I’ve heard some say they’ve had shells fall from theirs while running

I feel king’s caddy holds the shell pretty securely. Only the taccom ones hold shell stronger from the caddies I reviewed here.
