I think these home made/modified outboard motors are the best idea since sliced bread. Many old outboard carcass's out there not worth rebuilding. Throw on an old lawn mower motor and you got propulsion. Hat's off to good use of resources.

Hello your project is very good! congratulations! I am in Brazil, on the São Francisco River. you could share the dimensions of your boat, so i can budget how much wood would cost here in brazil. could you also tell me which type of wood is ideal?

Why not run one single 9.9-15hp that would have wayyyyyyy more power then 2 old raggedy motors that barely pushes? Just curious

I tried a 9,9 horse on my first pontoon which was smaller and it did not push it all that great, plus I am partial to my old raggedy motors. Thanks for the advise and thanks for watching.
