My friend Dave lives in Akron Ohio and he also has an upper level door that opens to a sheer two story drop. He doesn't have a staircase to nowhere, but he does have a hallway that gets gradually smaller from one end to the other, over 7 feet high at one end down to around 5.5 feet at the other.

Plant the see of suggestion in the head of someone who wants to see or experience paranormal and their imagination will run wild. They'll see dolls moving, eyes blink, orbs in photo, disembodied voice, and what ever the tricks the mind plays. So called "haunted" places are making money, so of course the locals will make whatever nonsense up to make it a spooky attraction. Its a shame the memory of the little girl that drowned (if there really was a little girl that drowned) is being overshadowed by ghost stories and deteriorating broken dolls. Not just this island, but all historical places are now being labeled "haunted" to draw the crowds for money on tours or spending the night for your own paranormal investigation. Its turned into a business. In the words of showman P.T. Barnum "There's a sucker born every minute."

Ryan isn’t really freaked out anymore since they’ve been to a ton of these places without anything genuinely spooky or harmful happening. Despite their investigations being more thorough they are kind of phoning it in at this point. Should you still watch? Yes. Is it as genuine? No. Hope that helps

Now, I've read through some the comments and I haven't seen this asked yet, so I'm curious: Why did Father Thomas ask if he was still on camera near the end of their conversation? Would he have said something different if the cameras weren't on him? That's always been something I was so confused on.
