Is this Egyptian dialect?
@malakh7315 жыл бұрын
Vald Verd this particular video is Fusha which is the older more “formal” arabic. No one really uses it anymore, as the dialects are generally easier to use. Fosha is still understood if you speak it, but it distinguishes you as a foreigner. Fosha is mostly just used in writing only.

الرجل لهجته خاطئة. يقول فيهُم بدل فيهِم. ويقول: a في Apple بدل a كما في Stand. كما أنّه بارد. الفتاة المصريّة تتكلم العربي بشكل أفضل.

The speakers are trying their best to make it standard, there are (some) mistakes and by hearing them I know their Egyptians but yeah I guess we can call it standard, it's good enough.

This is supposed to be easy everyday conversation but the way of speaking is very formal, archaic, robotic, mechanic and unnatural. i am sure the people who recorded this were reading from scripts too. This is just impossible and super weird to produce in everyday situations. It makes more sense if this is a political speech addressed by an official at the UN.

I feel like people in these comments keep repeating the same old thing. Yes, it’s old arabic or “fusha” But for a foreigner, this is the most sensical way to learn arabic. There are consisten grammar rules and they will still be understood. Not to mention arabic literature and writing is still in Fusha. If the perosn wants to speak like a native, immersion is honesty the only way to develop the dialect and features of spoken arabic. This is honest practice for foreigners. It’s not meant to teach them native skills.

Menna ayman Egyptian dialect is definitely not the easiest. Al-Sham dialects are easier to pronounce and are true to what most arabs speak in terms of vocabulary and sounds. you can’t expect a foreigner to know the egyptian dialect when most arabs don’t even understand it fully
