I love the farmer in the Gear Field episode. He’s so thoughtful and engaged, seems like such a lovely person. Part of the joy of this show is the team, the other part is the wonderful people they meet and work with.

From the age of 7-8, my son would watch this show with me as we wound down in the evenings - it was followed by Grand Designs - such a wonderful session for both my son and I. For some reason, Time Team KZbin 'suggestions' have been popping up yesterday and today and I cannot resist taking time to watch these brilliant people - lovely seeing episodes with Mick... and I've never seen Tony without short hair - I had no idea of these early episodes, pre 2007-8.

The media team have caught on that many of us with issues sleeping, or with anxiety/PTSD, ADHD or are on the spectrum, play time team on youtube and it helps soothe us and get to sleep. I am one of them, for years now 😌 It's likely one of the biggest reasons for its resurgence. We all needed soothing and sleep during the pandemic and many people came across TT anew, or rediscovered it. I play it most nights at lowest volume and it was one of the only things that helped me sleep for years lol. Tony's voice is just that lovely 🤷‍♀️ loolol. ❤❤❤ I have seen them at original airing date as well, when I moved to England years ago. I have since moved back to my country of origin, and had been watching the episodes out of nostalgic nerdiness on random people's channels.... when I discovered it helped me sleep (FINALLY!!) and I very much appreciate that aspect of it as well haha. People are smart to have uploaded more episodes, and in different formats, and now have officially joined the snooze train with several hours of soothing, sleepy time goodness for those that need it. 🙌🙌🙌 I am just waiting now for them somehow make T.T. asmr 😌😌😌😌😮‍💨🫠 lol I would love that 😆

That "dowsing" moment was really funny. "If I hold them like that I can't possibly turn them." Unless he slightly pivots them, then gravity will do it for him - just like does a few seconds later. But oh no, it can't possibly be as simple as that, it has to be some magic nonsense.

It's a long held fact that many of us use TT to fall asleep - comforted by a group of people that genuinely bounce off each other's dedication...and possibly Tony's dulcet tones (easy to listen to - but not so to look at). My only advice to channels planing to publish amalgamated TT episodes as sleep tonics - remove the loud and entirely sleep-interrupting drum rift at the beginning of each episode, as well as between parts 1-3. It kinda defeats the purpose otherwise..........

I love the projects these people take on during the episodes. Incorporating ancient projects like that was a great idea. It's just interesting watching how various things were created back centuries ago. I kinda wish things were still like that and not so advanced like they currently are. Although I do enjoy having access to proper healthcare and modern medicine lol. I just don't like how the world has drifted into this conspiracy theorist mindset and it's causing a lot of problems with making progress forward. Especially in the US where I live. We have so many MAGA extremists who are almost entirely conspiracy theorists. They just make up the craziest nonsense and pump out political propaganda nonstop. Tomorrow Trump will be inaugurated again so I expect the future to be very dangerous and unpredictable with basically every policy decision being a bad one

Mention of corn grinding stones in the Iron Age doesn’t make sense. Corn wasn’t introduced to Europe until til, at the earliest, 1493, post Columbus coming to the Americas. Corn is a Central American food and I do think the reference to a corn grinding stone is correct. Could be a grinding stone for some other food obviously, like wheat or oats, but surely not corn.

Of course it makes sense! This is a British series, lol. They don’t use American English. “Corn” in the UK is any kind of grain. “Corn” meaning the yellow grain we make tortillas with is only used in the US. Originally maize, *Zea mays*, in the American colonies was called “Indian corn”- grain used by the indigenous people. Over time, we ended up just calling it “corn” and forgot that the word had ever had any other meaning.
