I have Autism, and it usually doesn't cause too many issues as I'm getting older and working with it instead of against it, but one OF THE BIGGEST struggles I deal with is sensory overload. The rare times it gets severe it feels like every muscle is tensed, I feel anxious, I have sudden jerking movements I can't control, I can't sit still, and I feel like crying but can't even though I'm not sad. I tell you these things not for pitty, but because I want to tell you the greatness of this video. Take all those things I mentioned and hear me say when I get to come home and nap for a bit with your video on, it takes the pain away, loosens my muscles, and helps me calm down. GOD BLESS YOU for reading this if you did and for these videos. It seems like just a video to others, but as you can see from the symptoms I listed, relief is such a gift.
@KerryMac6 ай бұрын
Thanks so much for this, it's great encouragement to keep going (because to some, making these videos does seem like v strange activity, haha!). And I very much relate to what you're saying with sensory overload. That's a good perspective about working with instead of against our traits - I'm going to adopt that! Sending lots of good vibes!

To everyone who's studying with this music: Checklist: • A bottle of water, at least 1liter. Your brain works better if it has enough water and drinking helps you to concentrate💧 • Your charger. You sometimes don't even notice that your device's battery is going down, so better have it plugged in all the time🔋 • Your headphones. You will be able to focus more with headphones, because it blocks background noises. Also, if it's a late night study session, you won't wake up anyone🎧 • a tea or coffee. Coffee keeps you awake, green or black tea can make you feel more awake as well.☕ • Your study/work stuff: your laptop/tablet/phone , a few pens, paper or whatever you need.⌨ •Anything else you could need, what about a heat pad, a blanket, a good lamp, your pet so you have a study buddy 🐈 Reminder:After an hour, you should stand up and walk a bit around. Better stop the music or put on different music for the break. Open your window, even if it's cold outside. Fresh air will make it better, trust me. You could also lay your head down on your desk for ten minutes and listen to a podcast. Or, if you have to read a book, listen to the audiobook of it. You can also listen to the audiobook while doing another thing, that's even better than listening to music while reading the book. I hope y'all had a good day, if not, that's okay too. Remember to take care of yourself and try to get some sleep tonight 😴🧸 ( This comment isn't originally mine, but I think it can help a lot of people :) )

Same here. Came looking for non-pharmacy relief for chronic pain, ADD, and anxiety (all related)... It really is amazing how good it works - instead of reaching for a pill or curling up into fetal position where I can't function. I'm wondering if it works as well if it's used every (or most) days, or if it works better to stagger usage? Any thoughts out there?
@Goodbyeeveryonehere6 күн бұрын
@curtiste3235 as a biochemist I can advise that the effects of things such as this last for 3 days. So if you listen to it on a Monday for example, it will leave your system on Thursday night. This should help you to decide how often to listen. It will never be as good as the first time unless you let it leave your system first. But to avoid it leaving your system and to have it work consistently, alternate days would be best, perhaps.

A year after you posted, this is still the best brown noise out there. So many others say they’re “smoothed” but still have the high fuzz that’s the aural equivalent of chewing tinfoil 😖 Or they add a generic “rain” sound that ruins the monotony that makes brown noise so good for my brain. I am on the ADD side and have undergone chemotherapy for cancer. I say this because "chemo brain" is a REAL thing and it can be hard to concentrate. I stumbled across this, and i think I may have found something to help with my brain being so scattered all over the place. I'm going to tey to listen to this while reading or working on outlines for messages. Just listening for five minutes seems to help. At the bare minimum, it is a step in the right direction. Thank you for this. I wish you well.

@@KerryMac Can you tell me a little how brown noise is different from white or pink noise?
@KerryMac2 жыл бұрын
@@hassanfarnaz1169 Hey there, well Brown noise is the name given to this noise, which, like white and pink noise has a very "random" sound wave to it - i.e. it's not like other sound waves which tend to be more patterned. And Brown noise doesn't have as many high frequencies in it as white and pink noise - so THEY sound "sharper" whilst this sounds smoother/ softer. I also smooth out the brown noise even further to make it sound as comforting as I can. Hope this is of some help!

This calms my brain immensely when I'm reading. Even more when I'm sitting by the lake, having a cigar, and taking in a quiet sunset. It's the antidote to my ADHD.
