Locking the eye on a point really helped. How can something so simple make such a difference?
@naderemad46862 жыл бұрын
That is life, biggest problems always require the most simple solution. The more simple the more efficient and optimal. We just like to overestimate and compilcate things as humans because of our emotions that can sometimes take over our thoughts and actions.

This is the best video that I've watched regarding design. I sort of fell into my work as a designer, so there are some foundational principles and skills that I'm missing. This shows me a great starting point as I work to get better.

I love hard outlines, I see art without it and love how it looks, but I can not get my art to look good in that style. this was a really cool video, I never understood markers, and I love the line drawing practice, that was a new concept for me and I will need a lot of practice

Something that he didn’t talk about but did from experience is keeping the bounce light intact. If you look at the ellipse right after the outline at the bottom there is a slight mid tone & highlight, because of the way natural light bounces off the floor.

I also sketch using ballpoint pens (BiC Crystal grip or a classic BiC Medium) on regular printing paper, but i noticed that using my Promarkers over the lines will make them blurry and dull. Anyone else?
@nikelrocker7 жыл бұрын
yep, that's because the paper fills with the marker alcohol ink, and the Bic's ink are alcohol-based too, so both blend together and the results are messy xD Personally i prefer sketch basic shapes with pencil, and take 2 ways: 1. put color with markers on it and "close" the draw with pen or tracers. 2. "close" the draw with tracers, put color on it and make some gradient details with pens ONLY when I'm totally sure that the marker ink dryed.
@B1N4RYGH0ST6 жыл бұрын
I love sketching with Bic four colour pens. They brought out another version of their old Black, Red, Green and Blue. I think it would be great if they extended their colour range. Peace.

Good thing I suck at using markers... is there a way to make a soft edge (like a soft fall-off) if the material isn't reflective? If I use printer paper everything just looks like patchwork.
