So the instructions that come with the belt say you to put on belt half hour after a meal and then to take off 30 min before a meal.. can you still eat snacks while wearing it?

Most definitely, it’s saying that because you might be uncomfortable when your belly expands after a large meal, but small snacks is fine to wear it. I wore mine during almost meals times and never had a problem.
