This type of marudhaani in hands nostalgic. With those attractive bangles whimsical. The variety of pithalai vessels displayed n used breathes music. Ohh not to leave that iconic koojaa Sombu which by itself is a subject for wikepedia. No face . No voice So what? The visuals n background music enthralled. Caramelised payaasam steals the show. A little eyesore seemed to be the pressure cooker admist the all beautiful pithalai vessels.

if u add rice to sugar ( caramelised or plain sugar ) & milk & then cook it , i think rice will not get cooked ; also, there r chances of milk getting curdled also !! it's better to cook the rice with milk & water & then add the caramelised sugar 👍

Veryyy yummy... One tip is to after adding the rice wait for boil before closing the lid it will make it thicker and darker.... After removing the lid again cook it on medium to low heat to make it perfect

Please try using our kerala red rice,(not the big grains) those used specifically for the prayasam. Its called unakkal ari (dry rice) Which gives a natural red color to the prayasam. Very similar to the ambalppuzha temple paal (milk) payasam. Great presentation, your videos. Very nostlagic background ❤️

Hi Looking yummy ,but one doubt ,will the rice cook in sugar..caramel . Usually once jaggery or sugar added the cooking of dal or rice payasam doesn't take place . In cooker is it different ?
