I have an idea for the dog steps. Put the top end on a small horizontal rod hung under the bed. So you can slide them along the rod, left or right, whenever you need to get to the sink.
@OurWayToRoam5 ай бұрын
We thought of this as well after we installed the ramp! It would make it a lot easier to slide back and forth. That may be an upgrade in the future!

This remains to be my favourite camper van of all time. Absolutely beautiful. I don’t think I’ll ever have the money or skill to pull this off, but I would 100% replicate this van if I could.

Great little projects. The fan issue on the stove/oven, try a PC fan and put it at the exit vent to suck it outside rather than blowing the hot air around the cabinet. Just a thought.
@OurWayToRoam5 ай бұрын
We will likely add a second fan to the vent to exhaust the air! Great idea!

Nothing like living in a space to know what changes need to be made. I know working in tight spaces can be quite difficult, but you guys did a spectacular job on the venting of the stove. The dog ramp is genius Savannah! And it seems shoe storage is always an issue in tiny spaces. What a great way to solve that problem. Looking forward to what’s next.❤

Industrial DC cooling fans can be huge noisy, up to 85 dB. A 120 mm PC cooling fan like the Arctic P12 PWM is much quieter and performs better. You can use a PWM thermostat controller from Amazon or an Aquacomputer OCTO/QUADRO to automatically adjust fan speed based on temperature sensors. Adding an exhaust fan instead of just an intake fan will also help with cooling. See more on positive and negative pressure.

Such a great, creative idea for the doggie ramp/steps! and Mateo and Pablo seem to really love it! Lint brushes are great to pick up loose hairs! I have four cats and have a brush in each room I even use them on the cats and they love it!

8:46, Hi Savannah! I was watching you cut out netting material concerned about mosquitoes getting through. Maybe you can layer in a matching piece of some finer netting to keep them at bay? Anyway, cool rig and love all the updates!
@OurWayToRoam5 ай бұрын
If we notice any issues with that size screen we'll definitely size down and add another layer! We'd likely only have an issue with something like no-see-ums at this point. Those are terrible little bugs!

The cooktop and oven outside vent, may need a plug or cover when in winter weather when not using the appliances, especially over night. I have 5 pr. of footwear, athletic for summer walking, slip on for daily ware, boots for mud or water, winter hiking shoes, and insulated boots. However, some could be carries behind the seat in the cab or in a storage bin outside, as two or three each are all you need in the "house". I have had dogs, mostly one, sometimes two from age 5. Early ones had no toys, and didn't need psychological help. As adults they had a chew toy and a ball. Your toys are more for you than the dogs, as they don't need any fur or large toys, just a play or chew toy.

5 pairs is great! Don’t need much more than that! Haha the dog toys are a popular Christmas gift from family members. Now it’s gotten out of hand 😂

@OurWayToRoam5 ай бұрын
We don't have a plan for that yet but it's something we'll need to address soon. We put the same vent behind our fridge 7 months ago and even after traveling through the southwest there doesn't seem to be much dust back there. Hopefully that's a good sign!

Regarding the new external exhaust vent (to keep the stove cool during warm weather) - Any concern during cold weather the vent will bring in a lot of cold and make it difficult to use the stove for cooking / heating?
@OurWayToRoam5 ай бұрын
No, we don't believe that will be an issue but time will tell. Really the more airflow the oven and stove receive the better. So far no issues heating keeping up with heating our tiny space!

@OurWayToRoam Perhaps consider temporarily screwing a block under the countertop (on the wall side of the gap), then use a clamp to bridge from it to the front, to get perfect alignment of the joint.
