I remember seeing this like it was yesterday, Cup final day was massive back in the 70s especially for me as a kid growing up. The build up to the final literally was from morning to early evening in those days followed with a kick a round outside with my brother afterwards..

Remember this with the brilliant Freddy Starr, the FA CUP was about the only live game on TV, it would start about 9 and go through till the end of the match, then we would go out with our football and dream it was us that had been playing at Wembley Magic Days

Love this video. Freddie was so very funny. What an incredibly talented bloke. Freddie I adore you. You made me laugh so much. I am so sad that the last years of your life were made so miserable by the Yewtree investigation. I thought the law was supposed to be just!! A person is innocent until proven guilty!! You don't name names unless s person is found guilty of a crime!! You deserved much better. You were innocent of the accusations. There should have been a public apology from Yewtree, the BBC and the media. But the damage was already done. They did the same thing to Jimmy Tarbuck, Cliff Richard, Jim Davidson and others.
