Ha, I should have waited before commenting on your last video - I did not expect such good damage from rift and necro, awesome to see. One thing I'd mention - knight enchanter can use the energy barrage exploit as well; if you use it right after hitting spirit blade, you don't trigger any cooldown or cost. That means knight enchanter can actually go faster than the other two specs, since it can alternate between blade and barrage. With that you can get the ravager in about 10 secs, probably faster since you're playing qunari.

Since using that exploit no longer relies on flashpoint, I got a lot of mileage out of setting up flashpoint and mana surge before a dragon fight to get off two static cages at the start, and using a lightning blade and lightning pact belt. One of like the two videos on my channel is a showcase of doing this full setup against a level 27 ravager, if you want to see it in action.

Right after you crit, flashpoint effect should be written like this: "spam as many spells as you can in 1 second without cooldown, before me flashpoint takes effect" The only skill that allows you to cut their own animation and spam really fast is energy barrage. So right after flashpoint activates, smash your energy barrage button.

Knight is for close battle mage so good agenst demons and other adds. Rift mages are great for crowd control and can deal great damage if you mix ice and rift mage to shatter enimes and so on with a mix of fire,ice and rift you can make your mage a god like mage with both damage and survival abilities and so on. And finally necromancer true be told idk much about it because it did not suit me but if yku look up how it works and so on I bet there are some good ones there so I would say rift is the most damage then knight then necromancer

It's not a mod. You can trigger energy barrage twice immediately after using fade fist. And there's a skill that removes cooldown after a crit in the fire tree. Together energy barrage can be triggered three times.

I want to like mage so bad and it's not horrible but warrior is just too strong wish they added arcane warrior like in orgins so I could have the best of both worlds, knight enchanter is soo booty.

Does it take very long to feel like your mages can compare to Rogues or can you say close the gap between them at like level 13 or so. Or does it take till the games basically over and you have the best gear to close the gap this much like in your video?

you don't need the best gears as long as you have the sigil of the deepstalker, and enough ability point, I think you can make this build at around lvl 15.

Depends on what you mean by "strong". As in terms of damage, nothing beats Artificer. It exploits a bit too many bugged abilities for any other class to compete(Pincushion being the main culprit). But mages are outright indestructible if built right, as soon as you hit Skyhold you can become invincible - nightmare, all trials and friendly fire don't matter from that point on.

@@RPGBUILDER33 I wish mage had more powerful abilities I miss arcane warrior from dragon age origins, knight enchanter kind of sucks compared to it especially after the nerf. I hope dragon age 4 goes back to the massive amount of spells it had and it's buffing system. Anyway your builds are awesome and make the best use of what is available.

I too wish they had more skill trees in DAD, for DAI really lacks abilities, the only differance between characters is the specialization, hope they make DAD more diversified, buffing system, race abilities etc.

If you have a build that works on critical chance and damage and so on you can build it so if you have the right gear you can have your skills cooldown go to all the way to zero in seconds

Its a bug exploit(har har - like 90% of this game). Shoot a projectile spell. On the moment connects the next spell won't register cooldown or mana - shoot a barrage. You can notice that the first barrage doesnt consume mana. Trigger flashpoint by a critical by either the projectile spell or by the barrage. Shoot 2 more barrages.

Never a magician in this part will not be better than an archer. The magician is a sweaty pianist, and the archer is a calm comfortable gameplay even a nightmare. Interesting video, but what level of complexity I did not see.

For the artcher yes its more calm and so on but the mage can help as well yes its more sweaty but if look up some builds for it it can change how the battle ends it can end like this one or just as fast and it also depends on gear as well if yku have a good build but bad gear then it's just a small build then

That's true, nothing is as broken as an Archer in DAI. Nothing else has as many bugged abilities that work together to be exploited by the player. But if you don't want to piano the mages, just go for immortal dot-based mages. Put on the dots, take a small AFK break and the dragon will be dead by the time you return.
