I feel like it's easier to dominate the clinch as the taller fighter. Any specific tips for shorter fighters escaping the clinch?

Yes, grab his body and throw him just like wrestling then proceed to rear naked choke him

Depends on whether or not you're a pressure fighter. If your shorter and fight an upright femue style like saenchai you'll need to utilize hand traps anst go straight for the foot sweeps. If your a pressure fight like muau khao (knee) or bok(elbow) there's plenty of shorter guys that get it done. You don't only have to go for the plume. If you utilize hand traps, hooks/body lock, with good posture or a crossface to set up your knees you'll be a terror but only if you PRESSURE fight. You need to be actively seeking the clinch strikes first then add in the throws kicks and punches. I recommend watching Muay Thai scholars Muay Khao playlist. And this www.reddit.com/r/MuayThai/comments/dzei7a/short_fighter_as_a_muay_khao/?

4 years later and I'm pretty sure I did the same thing, had my first session with the clinch and I had no idea what to do so I think I strained my neck in the clinch doing exactly what you did and then the next day it ended up sore after some other drilling. I did eventually ask my partner what to do and he helped me out so now I know not to do that again.

See i mean yeah, the second is what i would do naturally. When your in anyones hold whatever it may be think opposite. They want you to pull away, so do the opposite come in closer. If im caught in the clinch im slamming or breaking an arm

It's not just the fact that he's tall. It's also the fact that the other guy isn't that tall.
