It's very good your kids aren't picky eaters. My mom always had us do a polite bite of new foods, and then if we didn't like it then we didn't have to eat it again. I'm very thankful she did that.

I remember sitting at the kitchen table until bedtime because I didn't like something. Looking back at it, I'm really thankful that there weren't any microwaves yet, or I'd be served it for breakfast 😂😂. I did food with my boys like your mom did. By high school they'd eat the food that they wouldn't eat when they were young. My youngest would eat anything and everything by age 7. Especially, broccoli and brussel sprouts.

My boys (adults now!) were always great veggie eaters. They didn't like brussel sprouts but always asked to try a little piece of one when I fixed them. My mom put diced sweet pickle chips in our potato salad. It was yummy. By the way...I LOVE homemade bread and butter pickles!

Hello from Mississippi. Based on your husbands reaction, he liked the stuffed peppers best. Dill pickles in potato salad is the best. I buy dill relish and use it mostly in the potato salad. Good recipes.

That’s so awesome that your kids are such good eaters. All of these recipes look so delicious! I mean, really, how can you go wrong with cucumbers, mini sweet peppers and potatoes…yum! I don’t recall seeing your husband taste the spicy cucumbers, but based on his reaction to the sweet peppers and potato salad, I’d say he likes them both, but he really LOVES the mini sweet peppers option. I agree with you that dill pickles are where it’s at. I love the salty vinegary bite. I have always preferred savory over sweet anyway. However, I do enjoy a delicious sweet from time to time. I gotta say, bread and butter pickles are also scrumptious once in a while. But for me, the dill pickle wins the prize. Whether in a recipe, on the side, as a topping or straight from the jar they’re good anywhere, anytime!! Thank you for sharing more wonderful recipes ideas. I thoroughly enjoy your videos❣️

I love dill pickles and I like bread and butter pickles. Sweet pickles I don’t much care for. All dishes look great, but I think adding a crushed nut such as pistachios would be delicious on the cheese stuffed peppers. 😊

I would die without the ceiling fan in the kitchen. It is 5 degrees warmer in there even when we aren't cooking. Someone designed the kitchen/laundry room with one vent and it is right next to the back. During canning season, we also have a separate fan. And, of course, it's freezing in the winter

I was wondering why you put salt on it to release the water and then rinsed it with water? It will again absorb some of the water. The salt wasn't overdone, and when you dry it with towels they will absorb some of the salt if that was the concern. Feel free to correct my thinking. This looks great. I've been wanting a new cucumber recipe! Love your videos.
