3 Part Recipe | Banh Mi | Part 1 Pickled Daikon and Carrots

Hi everyone,
My new idea is to make multiple recipes that will have multiple recipes. This time I am making the traditional Vietnamese Banh Mi, for this first week it is all about daikons and carrots. Let me know if you will be making it along with me. The veggies will last up to a month in your refrigerator. Also, please let me know whether or not you like this style of multiple videos.

Ingredients
1 Daikon
1 Carrot
1/2 TBSP of salt
1 Cup of sugar plus 2 tsp
1 1/4 Cup white vinegar
1 Cup water

do you pour the vinegar over the jarred veggies? or just put veg inside jar dry?

I just put the veggies in the jar and then pour the vinegar over the veggies.

Can you not just store it in the vinegar solution in the jars?
